orange juicer
Not a well-designed juicer, and not a friendly seller. I had to re-sell this product on ebay (for much less than I paid for it) because the seller would not accept my return of their juicer. How can you tell if an orange juicer works to your satisfaction if you can't try it? The second I unpacked it and used it once it was considerred "used" and non-returnable. This orange juice press probably does exert tremendous pressure, but my experience was that it did not press the orange juice half in the right place. The bottom half of each slice was not squeezed, and remained filled with juice. It was quick, but not thorough.

Waste of money
It does not extract all the juice. The top and the bottom sides do not get squeezed at all and you waste half the orange. There is no pulp and it takes about 5 oranges for a cup of juice. I am so sad I bought this and can't return it because I don't have the box. Completely useless.

manual juicer
I was very pleased overall. I ordered two of the juicers for Christmas gifts and one of them was damaged during shipment. I emailed the company and asked them what I should do and they shipped another one immediately so that they were still in time. Both of my sons commented on how much they liked the juicers and how sturdy they are.

Not a very good purchase at all
Not a very good purchase at all. the bottom of it is so light that it slips around while your juicing. the top part that pushes the fruit down screws into the top and constantly comes undone while your juicing so its wobbling everyone and you are having to screw it back in every couple fruit....yikes what a crappy product!

This showpiece juicer works wonderfully for us.
We bought this Juicer Press at Williams-Sonoma back in 2002. It is regularly used for all varieties of oranges, limes and lemons. I was used to the old 1930's pattern low-profile metallic juicers, but this one is just as good, even though it is entirely made from stainless steel and does not use a large zinc collection vessel like the old fashioned ones.All-in-all, it is easy to use, even for my wife who does not have strong hands. We paid 40% more than today's price of about $75, but it has been worth it, with a decade of reliable use.At first, I was put off by the height, which makes it difficult to find a place to stow it. But then we found out that it was so beautiful that we were happy to just leave it out on the counter as a showpiece, accompanied by an adjacent bowl of oranges with an occasional lime and lemon. This has proved to be a good thing, because we are now extremely likely to halve and press an orange at the drop of a hat. It has even made cooking easier, because it only takes a second to add fresh lemon juice or lime juice to recipes, rather than resort to yellow or green squeeze bottles from the refrigerator. It is great to have and enjoy a great design. I have no idea what the problems are for the other reviewers. Maybe they should buy a motorized juicer so they can have another cumbersome, ugly appliance to hide in their cabinets.
