Easy to use and great way to make certain kids don't miss the basics of JESUS' walk here on earth. Enjoyed the simple way you can use it and add and adjust as you like. Good way to cover with multiple age groups.

I wanted a Wednesday night curriculum that didn't have to be re-written too much. While I still adjusted some things, Journey with Jesus has a lot of fantastic elements and fun activities. I highly recommend it. Didn't use the music CD though....

This worked wondefully for our small church. We have two children's sunday school classes that used it. The lessons can be very simple for the 3-5 year olds, simple to plan and simple for the kids to engage with. Our other sunday school group age is between 6 and 12 years old, and this curriculum worked well for this large age spread. This curriculum is insightful into the life of Jesus and the history of the places he visited. I even learned a lot as the teacher. The lessons are not overly difficult, but they are not "watered down" either. The craft ideas were fun as well as the games, and applicable to the lesson. There is an emphasis on scripture memory as well. We didn't use the music, but I think the kids would have enjoyed it as well. The only reason I gave this curriculum 4 stars instead of 5 is because I like to use colorful illustrations in my lessons. So, I had to come up with that on my own. Another thing I did that worked well with this curriculum was to create "passports" for each child with their picture and the names of each place we would visit through out the "Journey with Jesus". They then could receive stamps in their passports for attendance, memorization, bringing a friend, and completing homework. To receive a prize at the end of the 12 weeks they had to earn a certain amount of stamps (i.e. 18 stamps). A good time to run this lesson is between Christmas and Easter. This curriculum explains very well how to use it and gives you everything you would need for posters and letters. One last thing, even six months after we finished this curriculum, the kids will still bring up different things they learned about Jesus and the places he taught.

This was my favorite of all the programs I used in my children's ministry. It's very inexpensive for those with low budgets, which means it requires a bit more effort and creativity, but that just made it that much more personal. It was so refreshing to have a series all about Jesus and the Bible, not like so many where they just try to tie Him in somehow.For the sign-in table I made the city market with giant cardboard boxes and random things I found around my house and things others lent me. It was awesome!

This curriculum is absolutely amazing! With 4 rotating teachers we had found it very hard to maintain any kind of consistency in our small class. We didn't know from week to week what the other teachers had done. The kids had no foundation - just floated from lesson to lesson. This transformed our Sunday School experience. Great planning ideas even for our small group of 6. I will definitely purchase the rest of these curriculum sets.

thanks very useful although most worksheets are eithercolouring for younger children or worksheets for older children. Would have like to see some more useful worksheets for 5-7 yrs apart from colouring.
