Didn't work for the wire I used
I am not an electrician, so maybe somewhere in the product description it says for use with thin copper solid wires but not for use with Romex 14 gauge or thicker solid wire. Or, maybe I just did something wrong. The solder joints I got were not strong enough to hold two Romex 14 gauge wires together. I think the product itself would work wonderfully with a thinner copper multi-strand wire, but just didn't get the job done I needed it for. I am keeping the product for those times I need it for multi-strand wire, but I don't trust it for solid core wire 14 gauge or thicker.

Perfect!!
Absolutely perfect for what I needed. I was putting new trailer lights on a boat trailer, and planned to solder the wires and heat shrink them to help protect them, then I saw these that would do both in one simple easy operation, they worked perfectly and very easy, solder melted to connect wires and heat shrink to help keep moisture out. These will come in very handy for many small electrical jobs, great product that works as designed. Fast and simple!

This is a must-have for electronics tinkerers
These are the bomb! You can make nice soldered, waterproof connections in seconds with just a cigarette lighter! I have not melted through the insulation even once. I make two little hooks on the two wires to be joined and fasten them, then slide the tubing over them. You just heat it up until the solder melts and BOOM! You've got a great connection! I used these to wire up my boat trailer and tail light harness....just took a few minutes, no hassle. I'm thrilled!

Very good product
The design is very well thought out and executed. On each side of the solder joint there are small colored sleeves which is for a purpose. They shrink quickly and hold the two wire ends together as the rest of the magic is happening (wires are NOT falling apart while in process). These also seal each side of the connection solidly, even more than the shrink tube .

Really easy to use
I used these to rewire my utility trailer: tail lights, side, rear, and plate lights. All you need is a heat gun. The solder melts to connect the wires while the outer tube shrinks to seal it up. These made the job fast and easy. Great product!

Excellent, time saving, clean solution
These things are awesome! As I said in the title, this is such a clean solution for wire connections. I'm an electrical engineer and building prototypes is a huge part of my job, and I can say that I truly look forward to using these connectors.

Awesome and Super easy.
These are the best. I used them in a bunch of different places while installing speakers etc into my car. Make sure you have a heat gun and get the solder super hot!

works pretty good
They work pretty good but, I seemed to melt the shrink wrap before I got the solder to melt. I just added an extra shrink wrap to make sure it was water tight. I would buy them again.

So far I have used only the white and the red connectors. Easy to use and great connection.

They are just awesome
like everything dislike nothing. if you are make a repair to a harness, you can solder the splice together and insulate it at the same time. I have been making up harnesses and repairing them for years. this does it in one step. its fast, easy, and you have a good connection, one you won't have to deal with again.
