Exactly what I wanted & expected
It’s Sauder style MDF furniture, so a little expensive in my opinion. It also requires some fair amount of time time and effort to assemble.THAT said, it looks *great*. The pieces all for together well & snug. There are and hours and L brackets galore to brace the unit. There was a crack and an edge chunk missing on the back panel board...but it’s the back panel board and was sound enough to provide the structural stability required of it...once put together, there’s no where to notice. I mention this primarily due to several other similar comments in other reviews. Placing the most fragile piece in a secure, supported/protected central location of the box may be beneficial. The tv mounts are exceedingly simple, and not too difficult to space/mount with a little common sense, a level, and use of the provided template. Unfortunately for my tv, the lower spacers need to be removed and sanded down so the tv hangs vertical-/its currently tilted up just a touch. The white panels are wonderfully glossy to contrast against the white finish, and the recessed back provides ample room to hide wiring spaghetti as well as install backlight strips for ambiance.Would definitely recommend, would buy again if require. For those that move often, I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a “modular” item—I feel a little bad for the movers that have to handle it next. The only thing I’d say is missing is a set of wall anchors. The unit seems quite stable, but I don’t trust the fact that it’s 6’ tall and has a fairly expensive piece of tech secured to it (and my cat is a punk that wants to explore all high areas that aren’t “his”). I ordered and added a heavy duty cable wall mount to each side just for my own peace of mind. If you have children or cats that want to pretend your furniture is akin to the Swiss Alps, I’d say it’s a good option to consider.

This is stunning
I'm in love with this, it's stunning really. It's super solid and while it did have some damage from shipping, it was in an area that hides behind the TV. I would recommend the manufacturer turn the sections to face into the box in case of damage, had the dent been on the back of the section instead of the front, this would have been perfect, and it could save another one from causing someone to be unhappy, I had an actual hole in the box, and a dent in one of the back panels. But the piece, yes it's not easy to put together. I put everything together alone except putting the back section onto the bottom, I consider myself very experienced though, and good at reading directions. Everything is very clearly written, and you really can put it together with little difficulty, but you really do need someone to help you put the back on to connect it.This furniture is solid, it's heavy and sturdy. The only thing I would wish them to change is the plastic rings in the door handle, I really wish they had done something in a nicer finish. It looks cheap there, but the rest of the piece looks stunning.

If you’re on the fence: It’s worth it.
I was a little nervous after I bought this media center because I’ve never had anything like it before, but I absolutely love the way it turned out. It went together pretty easy, especially if you know your way around IKEA furniture. I put together most of it by myself in about six or seven hours, but there are a couple of steps where you absolutely need two people. If your doors look lopsided once you get them on, there is a way to adjust them so they look even. The instructions explain how to do it. I didn’t like the glass shelf that came with it, so I bought a few smaller high-gloss white shelves to add for plants. Adding additional shelving isn’t difficult either. You just need a drill, and I attached the shelves with nuts and bolts to make them a bit sturdier. Overall, it’s a great media center, especially for the price.

Beautiful piece but not perfect
I’ve wanted this entertainment center for over a year. Finally got it, and it was definitely a task to put together. Every piece is VERY heavy. You absolutely must have two people for assembly. When I ordered it, I thought I could do it myself but I had to have help. I also fear that the legs were not planned/constructed well enough. It’s just a large bolt through the bottom piece that screws into the leg. Every time I have to move it a little for whatever reason, one of the legs twists around and comes loose. That part isn’t sturdy at all and makes me very nervous that the bolt may split the bottom piece if it turns just right, or that the leg may split, or that the screw hole in the bottom will eventually wear down until the bolt is too loose to even hold the leg in place. Given the weight of the entertainment center plus the weight of everything on it, I worry the legs will not hold up long-term, especially if you move it around a lot. It’s absolutely stunning to look at and it’s the most unique piece I’ve been able to find. Just needs legs that are a lot sturdier for such a heavy piece of furniture.Manhattan Comfort also has a slightly smaller version of this without the glass shelf on the left side. Knowing what I know now, I would’ve gotten that one. Maybe that one isn’t quite as heavy and would be a little more sturdy on the legs.It was also very hard to get the boxes into my apartment. It comes in two, and they’re both extremely heavy. You’ll need two able-bodied people to move the boxes as well.

In love!
I've had this entertainment center since the end of April and I'm still obsessed with it. The price was amazing and the quality is stellar. It's VERY heavy. But VERY sturdy. The only complaint I had was with the delivery and building but I read the previous reviews so I knew what I was getting into with that. They just dropped the giant and heavy af boxes on the LAWN and was like byeeeee but that's to do with the delivery and honestly I don't even blame them bc again... It's heavy af. Building it took like 6 hours (with breaks and no mistakes) but once it was done it was well worth it. So in the long run it's up to you if buying it would be worth it, which I think it is! You can't beat the price for something so beautiful.
