Just what I ordered in good shape

Good quality suede leather for what these are. Bought to protect my arms when doing gardening work with roses, blackberries, quince, etc. Makes a big difference. Pleased with my idea & decision.

I'm on the shorter side, and other sleeves people sell are too long, and bunch up when you put them on. Adding the fact that I already use gloves that are longer than most, this was problematic. However these were perfect. I could wear both the sleeves and the gloves, as they didn't bunch up. Though they were a little tight at first, they eventually loosened up. So if you are on the bulkier side, just know, they are a little tight.

After working on my projects, I love to see all the little burnt spots on these welding sleeves because that means none of the sparks burned my arms. When I was young, I didn't care so much if I got hit by the sparks, but I guess old age is turning me into a wuss. Those things hurt! And the burns do not heal as quickly as they did when I was young. So, I really like having an extra layer of protection.I do have a nice leather welding jacket, but on really hot days, I would rather wear these sleeves with a leather bib.

These sleeves do help but I would only give them a 5 out of 10 max. The cuffs seem to be the same size on both ends which leaves them loose around the wrist and tight around the arms a bit too tight , there are two seams in the leather which gives that many more chances for a thread to pop from either craftsmanship or weld slag making them more susceptible to burns or premature wear and the overall length is approximately 2” too short leaving either the upper arm exposed or the wrist even with long cuff welding gloves on.
