These speakers sound great.

First of all it is Bose so you are getting a great product with excellent sound quality. I am usually pretty picky about the quality of the sound but I purchased this for the man cave garage and I couldn't be happier. I didn't buy a receiver that specifically went with a Bose so the sub isn't hooked up completely correct but it still works great. So I am here to say that even if you don't buy a 5.1 surround sound receiver it can still work and put out great sound. I will definitely be buying a correct receiver but for the time being it works great and will get me by. The setup is very simple, you literally unbox it and set the speakers where you want them and run your cord to the receiver. There isn't much you can screw up.

Set it up as soon as it came in, all wired system. The speakers and sub-woofer work as good as you can imagine with a BOSE surround sound system. Better than anything I have heard from any soundbar. We have a 4K Samsung Smart TV and a Sony Receiver, it all connected and the sound from 4K videos (music and movie) came through phenomenally.

I am a repeat purchaser of Bose Speakers. The first set lasted 19 years. My space limitations for the subwoofer size required me to consider the smaller subwoofer systems. It is my opinion that if you have more space for a subwoofer, consider other brands. If space is a major consideration this may be the best option. The service I have received from Bose is excellent. I am less interested in surround sound for movie sound effects.For music, I suggest getting the best pair of speakers you can afford with a comparable receiver or amp with a subwoofer. The Klipsch line has some great quality for the price. I am using a pair of these floor speakers with a Sony receiver. a Good source of information is audioholics on the web and you tube.

It's cool that Bose gets such sound from these tiny speakers but I have a couple of disappointments...Why does Bose do their annoying non standard crap?A couple of screw holes in the speakers would mean that you wouldn't need to spend 40 dollars per speaker just for a mounting bracket. Only Bose brackets work with the new speakers! Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!Again with custom non standard speaker connectors. The speaker cables come with connectors moulded at each end. Great until you need to run the wires behind sheetrock. I needed a hole bigger than 1/2 inch!!!! Massive holes instead of a small hole that would be fine for "normal" speaker wire.

The manual is not accurate to the wire placement on these speakers. It shows the wire holes being in the middle of the back of the speaker but the actual speakers have the hole towards the bottom of the back side. Bose only makes two kinds of brackets which have the wire hole either near the center or top of the back side which forces the speaker wires to bend at 90 degrees at the connector.They have made a speaker system that can ONLY be mounted using Bose mounts and have managed to not create a mount for this system. Bose support will also not be helpful and will send you mounts that do not match these speakers. Not a single one of the mounts that are suggested both on Amazon and the Bose site will match these speakers.

This is Bose and its is known for quality. I did have trouble with one speaker cube, it quit for some unknown reason a year after i received them. I contacted Bose USA and even though it was out of warranty they replaced the speaker at no charge

Great product, great sound. Recommend!!!Purchased November 1, 2016. Review update. 3-27-17 The bass speaker has a problem cutting in and out and the problem is with the side adjustment knob. I emailed the seller Sunrise 2030- Amazon Marketplace and advised them of the problem. There answer was you had a 14 day return on this item, you need to contact the Bose Company. Glad they stand behind their products, at least for 14 DAYS!!!Shop with someone who stands behind their products. Will not recommend...
