Learned about this book at the Rodin Museum in Philadelphia. It is very well researched and thorough and does a great job of shedding light on Rodin's life. Recommended!

A substantial, award-winning biography, which draws heavily on primary sources to untangle myth and fact, this book is more for those already with some interest and knowledge rather than someone looking for an introduction to Rodin and his art. It particularly emphasises how Rodin's relationships with others, especially women, influenced his art and the role of politics within the artistic community
