Decent Piece of Kit for the Price
My first one was a dud, but I was able to return it and get a new one. The new one is working. This thing works well enough for hobbyist purposes. Screenshot attached was taken using it hooked up to a laptop and using VLC to access it as a USB camera and taking a screenshot. This made it easy enough to look at the information on the chip. I'm primarily using this as a little bench tool for hobbyist electronics work.Pros: * Cheap * Usable Image quality * Works on Linux! (Debian, registered as /dev/video1, so it acts as a generic web cam.) * Can work standalone with SD Card and Battery * Can work over USB with a computer. * Allows transfer over USB from the SD Card (No external card reader needed, it prompts you to select mode when you plug it in.) * Pretty decent stand comes with it. Aluminum with ring mount and height adjustment (z-axis). X & Y axis are fixed. * Scroll wheel on the side acts as a dimmer switch for the LEDs which is pretty nice!Cons: * First one was a dud, possible QA Issues, but easily resolved. * Image could be better, but the ones that are better come with a massive increase in cost. * Screen could be better. Kinda small and limited viewing angle before colors start to wash out. * Not waterproof.Personally, I haven't tried out the Wi-Fi aspect of it yet. So I can't speak to it. Still I feel this little guy was worth the money. I also have an older Dino USB Microscope, which doesn't come with a screen or stand. The image quality on that one seemed better (Dino is clear, This one seems a little grainy. Also the capture from the Dino was 1280x1024, This one was 1280x720), but that was also ~$250 when I bought it and it only works on a computer (also acts like a webcam). That one also had software, but it was only available on Linux, which meant nice features like controlling the LEDs was only possible on that software.Final Thoughts:If you want a cheap and usable hobbyist grade microscope that is usable standalone, this is a nice option. If you want something nicer and are willing to quite a bit more, consider a Dino microscope. All and all, I'm keeping this one as it can work as a portable stand-alone microscope with logging to capture images for documentation that are usable, and cheap enough i'm not super worried about it getting messed up.

Small screen
This is an intriguing device that is probably useful for some things, but the 4.3" screen size is too small to be useful in our circuit board assembly operation. The screen quality is decent, but not anywhere near the smartphone quality that people expect these days. I can't complain about the level of technology for the price but it wasn't useful.A better solution for us was to re-purpose an old Mac-mini, and using the built-in Photoviewer app to view the output of a $17 digital microscope, this gave us the magnification that we want.

Wow, you'd think screwing 2 screw would be simple
Wow, the worst product I've gotten from Amazon and had to put together ever. Screws barely fit in their holes! It took me an hour to even get one screw out because it got stuck for God knows what! Extremely bad build quality. I'll ask for a replacement now!

Pretty good microscope to this price.I am going to use it for see better on coins I found when I was metaldetecting. It's doing the job, but I am not able to see the houle coin when I zoom out ( a quarter)The program that you have to download is a demo🤔😰, so it useless.Easy to build together. If you are doing metaldetecting and looking for a microscope, you should find one that's have a zoom rate on 10-1000.This one will work to I found a better that's going to what I need

Led lights can reflecting problems
The scope actually does well for its price, my only problem is the led lights as they are positioned can cause some objects that reflect light to wash out in the reflection, such as watch jewels. Other than that it performs well for checking the rest of the watch movement.
