Awesome Product, Excellent Vendor
This ladder is very compact when folded up, yet extends out to almost 16 feet. It is much more convenient to transport, maneuver, and store than the typical 16 foot extension ladder. it also can be used as a scaffold and stairwell scaffold, which a regular extension ladder cannot do. It is very stable when set up properly. I feel very safe using it. I previously owned the 12 foot version of this product for 20 years and have been extremely happy with it. The applications I have used mine for around the house from painting to cleaning gutters, washing windows, hanging Christmas lights, etc. is endless! I personally think every home owner should have one of these.OK---NOT PERFECT---All that being said, this one, 15.5 foot version, arrived with some dents and dings in it. (Nothing that would render the ladder unusable or unsafe.) So I reported the damage upon arrival. The vendor, Louis Ladders, responded back to me within HOURS, not days! They were very reasonable and accommodating in offering a viable solution for the issue at hand. SHIPPING DAMAGE HAPPENS! That is a given. What makes the difference in my mind, between a vendor and an EXCELLENT VENDOR is the way they respond to the customer when it does. I would recommend this product from this vendor to all my friends and will definitely be doing business with this vendor myself again in the future! I hope this review helps if someone is struggling to decide which product to buy and which vendor to buy it from.

NOT a 1A rated ladder!!
I purchased this ladder to use as a straight ladder; I weigh around 240lbs, and when I tried to use this ladder in this method, I got about halfway up, and the ladder flexed so much that I was not able to climb any further--i.e.: it flexed toward the wall of the house and laid flat . . . this IS NOT a 1A load rated ladder, because if it were, it would have supported me easily. I have a 25+ year old Keller KKL-12 12-ft ladder that is load rated at "1", and it doesn't flex at all when I use it in this manner . . . bottom line--it's this cheap for a reason . . . I have submitted a request for a refund because the description is inaccurate . . . it is so flimsy that it shouldn't even be rated at "1"

If you know what you're getting into, you'll love it
Got 15.5' ladder to assist in painting 16' ceilings/walls.-1 star for the feet: not really anti-slip as rubber is really hard - very little friction on smooth surface: better have someone spot you when using this as a leaning ladder on flooring such as tile.Overall tho this is a good economy ladder for your average DIY. Just be aware of what you're getting into: steps are 12" in width and bars are 1" square: very constricting. If you're expecting to have a lot of usage or not comfortable with heights get something with more generous/ergonomic step design that will allow movement freedom and more balancing stability. But at the same time this ladder is light, and I appreciate a variety of configurations as opposed to traditional ladders.Noteworthy to say that I'm super impressed with the seller: Luisladders Direct shipped within hours of an order, and everything arrived fast in pristine condition (not a scratch or a dent!).

Unnerving to use
I purchased this ladder (15") to access my roof, I placed the ladder fulled extended against my house, my wife supported as I climbed, as I went up we were watching the hinge points flex a little, and I was certain they were going to buckle and I was going down in a lump of broken bones and folded ladder. They did not, but I will say, at the time I was very nervous. It works fine, hinges were easy to open and close and lock into place., lightweight, easy enough to maneuver around. It is very narrow but comes with base extensions to make more stable.I am 6"1" and weigh 190lbs.

Really great all in one light duty ladder.
I used this ladder to paint the exterior of my house. The scaffold feature is great, just make sure to get it on level ground. It really is an all in one. A frame, scaffold, and extension ladder. I'm 160lbs, and did notice a fair bit of flex in the ladder, which is typical for aluminum. The locks feel very solid and secure. I dont know that id feel comfortable at 16ft if I was a good 40 lbs heavier, but for smaller people, this ladder would be a great all in one household addition.
