It works just like the factory cable. I am glad that I was able to replace the cable only and not the whole headset. The sound quality is perfect and I notice no different in quality. The cable is also nice too in that it is cable fabric quality. Would not hesitate to purchase this in the future if the wire breaks again which I hope it doesn't.

My son has the Atctic Pro Gaming headset and it stopped working in less than a year. He was frustrated because first the mute would not work and then eventually his friends could not hear him anymore. He wanted to use his savings to buy another gaming headset, like they were so cheap (at least good quality ones). He had other inexpensive sets that broke fast, sound quality wasn’t great, etc, complete waist of money. So we finally decided to buy good quality ones, but when it stopped working in less than a year it was sooo frustrating. However I told my son we should try buying just a replacement cable first to avoid spending a lot of money from his savings. Considering the reviews, we bought this one (he paid, I ordered them). It took almos three weeks to arrive but it was worth the wait. Headset back to working normally including the mute option. We are happy with this buy. I know cables break easily, but given the material on this one I hope it lasts little longer than a year. I waited a month since we received the cable to review just in case.

Sound quality on this cord is just as good as the original manufacturer, and the fact that you get more length to be able to maneuver around is great. I use my headphones mainly for work, and plugged into my laptop that sits a ways away on my desk, the original cord would snag when I leaned back. Now I have plenty of room. Good construction. Good audio both speaking and listening.

We were very happy when we first received the cable. It worked perfectly with the Arctis 3 headset we own. However, after 3 weeks it stopped working. Now when you connect it sometimes it will register as a device in xbox and sometimes it won't. If you manage to get it connected you have to hold very still or you'll knock it offline. It would seem there is some internal short in the cable from poor manufacturing standards. I would avoid this cable.

I needed a replacement cable for the Arctis 3 Bluetooth, specifically. That headset allows you to listen to audio through the 3.5mm jack and bluetooth simultaneously, which is great for streaming podcasts from your phone while playing console games.This cable works, but it doesn't allow for simultaneous audio like the original did. If I turn on the bluetooth, the wired audio cuts out. That I can forgive, though, because SteelSeries surely did something weird with their original cable, and KeyEntre does not advertise this cable for the Arctis 3 Bluetooth edition, specifically.The other issue, however, is that my overall volume is lower with this cable, by at least 30%. It's not like I can't hear my games, but it's definitely quieter than it was before. Music at maximum volume from my phone or laptop is pretty soft. I suppose this could also be a quirk with the Arctis 3 Bluetooth vs other SteelSeries headsets, but it is disappointing.If you have the same headset as me, I'd recommend getting the official SteelSeries cable, if it's ever really in stock.

I have had my Arctis 3 for about 2 or so years now. The cable has always been a problem for me and as of recent the cable that came with the headphones has gone shot. After years of abuse of the old cable with it being too long and ran over by a chair multiple times I looked online and saw this cable. I can say so far out of my use it is 10/10 would recommend. The cable came within 3 days of ordering. Even with a big snow storm that did not stop them! They were able to get it shipped an delivered. Once the bag was opened and the cable was undone it was the perfect size, not long enough to get stuck under my chair again and the braiding on the cable is awesome. Can say so far for how long I've had it I would recommend it.

Got this item a few weeks ago because i noticed how the steel series headset cable breaks down after a while. I have the 2019 new arctis headset for the Xbox one. Cable lasted for only 2 weeks. It still works some what if i move a certain way it stops working and I would have to unplug it and re plug it back. I hope Steel Series makes this cable a separate item to buy. Yes they have the old one you can buy but it is very outdated. I do appreciate other tech companies for making this type of cable would recommend focusing on the quality and its use

My headphones are alive again! They even sound better. My Steel series headset cord started breaking and the sound degraded drastically. I had to dust off the old TB 600's 🤮. But now I can pit those TB's back in the closet and use my Sterlseries thanks to this cord. Feels sturdy. Great product. Came within a week of ordering. Definitely recommend..it beats buying another new set.
