Hands down, one of my favorite bose systems
Absolutely amazed at the soundtouch app which lets you add as many speakers to the wireless transmitter as youd like. The seller described everything properly and my system registered in the bose database without issue so I know I'm one of the first ones to actually set this system up and use it. The soundbar is a literal phenomenon when it comes to surround from ONE single sound bar. I love the compatibility and versatility of this system. The subwoofer is wireless and can be placed anywhere youd like. Latency on the wireless dongle is a feat all on its own. This line of bose sound systems is so versatile that I'd give it a 10 star rating if I could.Set up was extremely easy, just READ the instructions first!I LOVE the power this system holds and I absolutely LOVE the targeted surround that's made possible by the headset that you need to use when setting it up. It provides a very versatile option to meet what ever livingroom set up you have. Hands down, I'm SUPER satisfied with this system and it's my second one.I purchased a system for my brother 4 years ago and I'm dreading having him come over to see this one, he's going to be super jelly lolWith the quality of the sound, everyone that comes over raises an eyebrow, drop their jaws, and begin inquiring about the system, so, its difficult to not show this off lolYall enjoy, I definitely recommend!

Great Rich Sound out of a small system!
What a nice system! Bose always produces quality products. I was pleasantly surprise how this system calibrates to your room and then produces full sound which even sounds like surround sound too! I'm not too sure about the soundtouch portion that connects to your bluetooth devices but for movies and games the sound is wide, crisp and the bass is strong. This is a very pricy system but you get what you pay for and it shows brightly! I don't have my components connected directly to the system IE: Xbox One S, PS4, Cable box instead the system is connected directly to my 4K tv using the ARC option. I don't know how Bose does it but I don't regret this purchase at all. Give it a chance and if simplicity is what your looking for and you can afford it then look no further......

Good sound, but a little quirky.
Let me start by saying that I think the sound output and quality of the SoundTouch 120 system are quite good. I placed it in our 16 x 20 Great Room because the speakers from the Samsung TV there seemed a little underpowered. The 120 does a great job of filling the room with sound, even at low volume levels.I also appreciate the 120’s Dialog Enhancement feature as it makes it easier for my over-40-year-old ears to catch what is being said. In fact, I’m a fan of many of the 120’s features. Being able to connect it to your personal network and the Internet is awesome. Being able to control it from your tablet? Also really cool.Plus the system is generally easy to setup and demands very little from a room in the way of space. The Acoustimass can be tucked nearly anywhere, and you’ll only need a small shelf for the 19” soundbar. (You may need to get a tabletop TV stand to raise your set up a bit if you want to place the soundbar in front of it, though.)That said, I ran into a number of quirks and stumbling blocks with the 120 that keep me from rating it as high as I would otherwise.Let’s start with the quick setup instructions (which I’m guessing most people will use). The very first step says to “Connect the Acoustimass module to power”. I’m a fairly tech-savvy guy. I’ve set up a number of sound systems before. I had no idea what an “Acoutimass” was—and it is the first thing you’re supposed to do!Turns out, the Acoustimass is the subwoofer/midrange speaker...that is in the bottom of the box, and not labeled as “Acoustimass” anywhere. (Even on the component itself!) And then, if you were to skip that step and move on to connect the soundbar and console you will be hit with a blaring error message on the console that it “Cannot find Acoustimass”. (To which I wanted to respond: I’m right there with you, buddy!)That error keeps the console from doing anything else. In fact, the system seems really dependent on that Acoustimass being around and being found. That’s a bit of a downside too, because there are times where you might actually want to unplug the Acoustimass (...like when you have kids sleeping...) to keep the bass from booming around the home.I’ve also seen quirky things with both the ARC (Audio Return Channel) and the CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) features. Both features rely on a HDMI connection between the system and your TV.In the first (ARC) case, I was never able to get the audio from my Samsung TV (a 2015 model set) to return back to the 120 over HDMI. I ended up attaching a separate optical cable. Not a huge issue, but a bit of a nuisance to figure out and fix.As for the CEC functionality—the goal here is to be able to control all the CEC-compliant components with the remotes for either. The components should know about each other and work as a team. In general, that seems to work with the 120—I can control both the TV and the 120 with the remote for either system, and my Samsung even knows that it is a Bose receiver it is controlling. However, there are times, for whatever reason, that the 120 wants to change its source to “Satellite/Cable” even though I don’t have a box attached to it. Again, another annoyance, because you have to manually change the source to “TV”.So, as a sound system, I think the SoundTouch 120 is quite nice, but there are some quirks in both the setup instructions and features that hopefully a later revision will address. So be forewarned.** As a side note: I've found Bose support friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, many of the things I ran into can't be fixed that easily. (And in the case of ARC, may not even be a problem with the 120. It might be on Samsung's end.)

Bose could care less after you buy it!
I bought this system and from the start problems. The "acoumas" this would either make expolsion sounds or couldn't find it. I had to keep finding the damn thing. I had to have multi-able remotes because they wouldn't work on the one.So here the Bose way of doing business, I send my 120 system for repair because it only made loud noises and when they get it ( i paid 159.00 bucks to send it back) they say i can upgrade to the new smart sound bar and get it for 599.00 instead 899.00 i said great paid 599.00 and was expecting the sound bar to show up, no, they said i have to wait for them to send me back my 120 system and then send them it right back before i can get my upgrade sound bar! that i already paid for! They already have my system , everything's been paid for but NOOO they want to spend 2 weeks going back and fortieth in the mail and the whole time i already paid. They don't need anything else from me. Plus when i was chatting they told me i would be getting a refund for 159.00 if i upgrade, but no, the next i talk to them (waiting for my sound bar) they said i get no refund! So im not getting anything lower priced because of a upgrade, all i get is waiting for a sound bar i could have gotten over night from amazon for the same price i paid from Bose without the two week wait. I will never buy from Bose again. I DONT EVEN WANT THE SOUND BAR NOW!
