Updates below!Love it, transitioning from a shoulder bag this gives me the best of both worlds. Backpack support is very comfortable and lush, and when I need to hang the bag to my side while commuting on the train it's super easy to access like a shoulder back would. I will say, definitely read the directions first because the bag has some specific nuances to it functioning correctly. But once you get it it's great.6month follow up. Love the idea of the bag but the execution needs some work. I'm one who loves things snug and to fit proper, so this back is lacking a bit. The mechanism doesn't seem to perform as expected when holding the back in the locked position (with a 15" laptop). The cord system releases and allows the back to hang 3-5 inches from the harness creating this sag and sway result. I've contacted wolffe pack about this and they said that this result is normal (funny they leave this result off the advert or disclaimer). This has made he bag a frustration to sit where I would like it to which has resulted in me finding creative ways of affixing the bag to stay tight to the harnes via button and cord (because I still like the aspect of orbiting the bag). Next step I'm going to try a clear somewhere but never the less nearly 200$ for a bag these are things I should not be worrying about. Be aware!Final update, Be aware of this retailer and this bag manufacturer. After 6 months of owning the bag and it breaking I proceeded a warranty exchange request as I was well within the 1year from this seller and the Lifetime claimed by the manufacturer. After a hefty back and forth I was denied my warranty claim process based off the review of a photo and discussion with the manufacturer. If you do get a warranty from them it will most likely be on a case by case basis of never. I would leave 0 Stars if possible.

I really like the idea of the back pack being able to come off your back to get items inside it. I was also thinking about the potential benefits around security when riding public transportation. Here's my disappointment... the mechanism to lift (and hold) the back pack in place stops working well if the pack is full. I placed my computer and iPad in it with other items and it became too heavy to easily lift back up. It also would not security stay in place on the back.Bottom line: This works well if you want a pack that has a few items in it, but not well if you fill your packs with heavy items.

Not sure why many reviewers are saying that the system doesn't work well. Watch a youtube video and follow along and you'll get used to it in no time. Works well with some moderate weight - this isn't a backpack you should use to hold all of your text books - and the swing mechanic makes it super easy to gain access to your essentials. Looking forward to using this on my Europe trip next year so I can keep my stuff safe in front when out in the touristy areas.

Inside of the backpack is amazing. I like so much. The only problem is the part of shoulder straps and the backpad don't joint completely with the bag. So when you walk, it feel like you have a pendulum. Also it is lower to your shoulders and it can't be adjusted.The idea is good, but I don't know why it

Great back pack, very innovative design. However, with a laptop and a few books inside, it will be difficult to pull up the back pack with only one hand. You'll need to either use two hands to pull or use your left hand to support the bottom of the bag when pulling up.

I must say living in southern Utah with 6 national parks in driving distance.. The versatility of this backpack from one of our many hicks or going through T.S.A..Now days enything helps with time and this dose. I'm so happy with this backpack. I have a situation on my hands. See I have 7 children and I've spoken so highly of this backpack guess what I'm doing for Christmas.I want tell anyone if your interested don't hesitate to do it.We love it

Good as back pack but the system they sell sucks!!! It is really difficult to unlock it but even more difficult to lock it back again. Not recommended if the intent is the unlocking system!

Had to return it. The mechanism is unnecessarily complicated and it does not work for what I needed it for.

Great bag bought for my husband. We didn't think that the mechanism would last that long but we have had it a couple of years now and it's still going strong.

Ich nutzen den Wollfepack Rucksack sehr gern, da ich als Projektingenieur fast täglich Baustellen und Projekte begehe. Der unkomplizierte Zugriff auf Pläne, Tablet oder Messwerkzeuge ist echt hervorragend, da ich den Rucksack nicht abnehmen und in den Dreck stellen muss.Unter den begleitenden Ingenieuren ist er ein Hingucker, weil er eben eine interessante Mechanik im Inneren des Rückenteils verbirgt.Die innere Aufteilung des Rucksacks ist wirklich gut durchdacht und bietet für allerhand kleine und große Dinge Platz. Ein 15" Laptop, ein 11" Tablett passen neben Unterlagen und Beiwerk gut rein.Wie schon geschrieben, wird es mit zunehmender Ladung schwerer ihn hochzuziehen. Man muss dann beide Hände benutzen. Und es bleibt, durch das variable, magnetunterstütze Seilsystem dann öfter 3-4 cm Abstand zum Rückenteil. Dann schwingt er etwas beim Laufen.Ich würde mir für diese Rucksäcke einen Bauchgurt wünschen, da oftmals beim Hochziehen das gesamte Rückenteil mit hochkommt und es aussieht, als würde man sich strangulieren. Würde das System fester am Körper sitzen, könnte man das sicher vermeiden.Zudem glaube ich, dass die Wasserfestigkeit nicht stimmt, denn bei zwei Schauern, die ich durchlaufen habe, waren innen feuchte Stellen feststellbar.Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Rucksack und möchte das System im Alltag nicht mehr missen. Über weitere Verbesserungen und Erweiterungen würde ich mich dennoch sehr freuen.—————Update nach einem Jahr:Die Reißverschlüsse sind kaputt, Nähte habe sich herausgelöst, sodass der Rucksack nicht mehr schließt... Stoff ausgefranst... sehr schade.
