Best for my dog’s needs thus far
My husky is 13 and a half and has had a sore on the bottom of his back foot for several weeks. We walk everyday and it’s vital for his mental health and to help combat the degenerative disc disease in his back, for which there is no cure, only to keep him moving. The exposed sore prevented him from going for walks, which he absolutely loves, as I didn’t want to exacerbate the sore and get it full of nastiness from the ground. I tried a cone collar and that stressed him out too badly. I then started looking at waterproof boots, thinking he could wear one over his afflicted paw. I tried several. The first was a little too large and not tall enough to stay on his foot. I got these to try. I knew they were primarily used to reduce dogs from slipping indoors, but thought they could also be used to help protect his sore foot enough to be able to go for walks.I made sure to measure his paw, as they’re hairy and look larger than they are. I took the product advice and went with the smaller size according to his 2” wide foot measurement to hopefully ensure a snug fit. That was the way to go.He wasn’t too keen on letting me put the boot on, but I got it and thankfully have my BF to help if he’s being extra fussy about it. It stayed on for our entire walk! While the top fabric portion does soak through and down, it kept things from getting into the pads of his foot, which was my primary objective.I did leave it on him while in the house one day, thinking he could just wear it during the day for when he goes outside and we wouldn’t have to take it off and put it on a bunch of times. However, he would kick his foot out even in his sleep; when I took the boot off, I found his foot to be hot and wet, and his sore gooey. Grant it he has that wound, so these might be fine to leave on a dog with clean dry paws for an extended period of time, but they do get wet and don’t seem very breathable. As far as the product’s intended purpose to reduce slippage, it did work; my boy’s degenerative disc disease causes his back legs to shake, particularly the one with the gimpy paw. We have all hard floors and his back leg will shake and it slides backwards before he corrects it. With the boot on, his foot didn’t slip. I do however warn about wet or icy surfaces, as the boot does not have great traction for those. For washing, I hand wash in the tub. These boots have been working well for us. If my dog can do what he loves and is happy, I’m happy.

Basset hound approved!
This is the first set of little shoes that fit on my basket and stay on. It takes some finagling to get them to work properly with his bent front legs, but the important thing is they work. It would be nice if they had multiple locations to attach the Velcro button on strap, so that I could arrange it better on his legs or maybe even adding an extra strap for each foot. I have to address the slip off after a few miles on his front legs. I took a star off because of this.

Not fully anti-slip
Good booties in the sense that they actually stayed on the whole time, which is usually my biggest issue with dog booties. However, they aren’t fully anti-slip. My dog slipped multiple times walking on the snow. There are no grips on the bottom of the plastic foot part. But aside from the falling, he did well adjusting to walking in them, and they did help keep his feet from freezing on our walk.

They won’t stay her hind legs
Got these for my 15 year old dog to give her better traction on our hardwood/tile/laminate floors. They are great for their anti slip abilities. However the 2 on her hind legs will not stay on properly. The strap that is supposed to hold them in place will stay above her “elbows” but the socks slip out from under them and off her feet enough that the rubber part isn’t on her feet and therefore giving her less traction.

Great, durable boots! Highly recommended!
The media could not be loaded. I have a four month old, mini golden doodle. I walk Apollo every morning in an open field so that he can run and expend his energy.Although I look forward to the walks, I hate coming home and washing his feet twice a day. I bought these boots so that he can enjoy his walks and mommy can enjoy coming home to relax instead of giving him a mini bath. Apollo did not like the boots when I first put them on but I think it was because it was unfamiliar. Now that I have learned how to install them we both get to enjoy them. When installing the boots, make sure that the Velcro strap is tight so that they don’t slip off. That was the only issue I ran into. I also watch as he’s running to make sure that one hasn’t slept off. Other than that they are great and I would recommend .

Stays on feet that usually struggles keeping anything on.
Got a size small for my jack russel.Works great on my jack russel. They make some noise while he walks but they stay on and that’s all I really wanted.Do not expect these to be anti slip it the floor is wet or there’s snow.

I’ve bought many different pairs of paws over the years, this is by far my favorite!
My dog loves these in fresh powder and slush! Not good on wet snow/ice. I will use these in the fall and summer. I ordered 2 sets!

Back ones stayed on very well, but there are better solutions
My elderly dog had traction problems on hardwood floors and was driving me crazy with the sounds he was making. It was like living with someone constantly tap dancing. These socks did help, but the front ones won't stay on for long. The back ones stay on because they're long enough that they go over the big joint of his back leck. The front ones, which are the same length, don't reach anything similar that they can hook onto. So, they're only kept in place by the tension of the velcro, which means they'll come off fairly quickly. For what's it's worth, having two socks on still did help his traction some and made him a bit quieter. (It became a combo of a quieter flapping sound and tapping.)In any case, i then discovered ToeGrips, which are a million times better solution. You just put these little rubber things on the tip of his claws, and he becomes ninja silent and gets crazy good traction.

Slippy
As soon as I put these on my dog he went outside and slipped. It seems as though they made things worse for him. Not to mention they don’t even stay up. Had to keep pulling them up as well.
