Metal Earth Marvel Mjolnir Thor's Hammer 3D Metal Model Kit Fascinations

My son and I put this together and was our first metal earth kit. We both really enjoyed putting this hammer together. We used pliers and a pocket knife. We did wish the hammer was silver like the photos. Oh, for the next to last step we did use one drop of superglue on the handle and it did make it more stable. We will be getting another one next month!

When needing down time relaxation there is nothing like building models from Metal Earth. The only problem is running out of room to display them.

As long as metal earth continues to use fairly thin metal I will only give 4/5 stars. I’ve built 4 of these so far and 3/4 have had some piece break. On mjolnir the handle which is supposed to be cylindrical has perforations which weaken the integrity. It snapped on both sides. I squeezed them close enough so u can barely tell but it’s frustrating the design would weaken an area which needs to bend into a circle. One last criticism, the hammer doesn’t attach to the ground or stay in place very well. I bought some magnets here on amazon and put them underneath and that helped a lot. I was expecting a tab to hold it but it just nestled in between the rocks and just doesn’t hold it well unless u out a magnet under it. Overall, it’s one of my favorite pieces though. It has great detail.

This looks like a solid, heavy item - in reality, it's tiny and flimsy and made of cobbled together and "puzzled" thin sheets of flexible metal. Extremely misleading!

Fun and simple project, easy to put together, and very detailed :)
