FROGG TOGGS Men's Hellbender Fishing Wading Boot Felt Or Cleated

I picked up a pair of these in the felt sole to replace my second pair of Simms. I found these on sale during Covid days and honestly, I did not have high expectations as I'd never purchased any Frog Togg products previously. That said, I'm delighted with these wader boots. Totally!!! They're lighter (way nicer) and fit me much better than either pair of my Simms G3 Guide boots. I was so impressed in fact that I quickly ordered a second pair with lug soles for out of state fishing in AK. I'd highly recommend these to any serious fishermen, and in fact I have. Several times.

These wading shoes are very sturdy and the felt soles are excellent for traction on the stream bed. I highly recommend them for safety while wading fast-flowing and rocky streams.

Super comfortable boots. They didn't offer half sizes and I normally wear 11.5 so I purchased the size 12 and they fit perfect.

I love these boots. They’re great entry level wade boots. I purchased the felt bottom boots and read a few reviews saying they were super slick in the water. All you have to do is simply wire brush the souls before using them and they’re great. I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars, due to them lacking some drain holes. If they had drain holes to allow water to escape quicker, they would be 5 stars.

I really like these. Been wearing Frogg Togg waders for years, but these are the first boots of theirs I've purchased. Very happy with them, and the price is reasonable.

too heavy for long use

Nice Quality and really light.

Ordered the same shoe size as my regular shoes and the fit was perfect with the neoprene socks on my chest waders. I was thinking about ordering a size larger to compensate for the neoprene, but read the reviews and ordered the same size-perfect fit.

Just the job

Received these wading boots a week ago and first impressions are very good. They appear solidly constructed; far better than my old Bass Pro boots which lasted years. I am expecting good things and longevity from these as well. Tried them on with my waders and they are not only comfortable but fit true to size. Nice cleated sole which accepted studs very easily. I have used # 10 X 3/8" plated steel Hex-head screws forever to stud wading boots and found them to be a cheap and effective solution to ANY slippery surface. Looking forward to updating this review once I have had an opportunity to try the boots on-stream.

Comfortable, supportive, great for walking in the forest or on the beach. Extremely slippery on wet rock, absolutely no grip at all!!! Got me almost killed or at least seriously injured. I had to run to my car to get my very old felt boots back.Evidently the rubber of the outsoles is cheap, completely wrong for its's purpose. Cleats are looking quite cheap, as screws from hardware store. Never used them.My advice is to stay away of the rubber outsoles in order to avoid serious injuries and ruin your day on the river

Fit true to size while wearing stocking foot waders! Good grip and comfortable. I’d buy again for sure.

Fit very well. Haven’t tested out in the field yet , any issues will update but seems sturdy. Seemed better than cabelas brand.
