Just lay it out - that's all! It keeps our German shepherd cool all day/night. She no longer hides in the bathroom to lay on the cool hardwood floor, she now spends all day with us in the family room. I bought a 2nd one for the upstairs and I place it directly on top of her dog bed - she no longer leaves the room in the middle of the night looking to cool off. I honestly may keep one in my own bed to keep me cool in the middle of the night lol.

We put this pad in our cats backpack. It does stay surprisingly cool even though it has no gel and is very thin. For the price, it is an excellent product.

I got 2 different cooling mats for my porch cat. My porch faces west and gets full sun in the afternoon/evening hours. When the sun is beating on the mat, neither of the mats were cool. Not burning hot, but definitely not cool either. But once the sun goes down, even with a hot summer night, the cooling pad feels great. Even leaning my hand on it for a while, the pad still felt nice and cool. Kitty liked it. Not sure if the bottom is waterproof as advertised. This was the better of the two mats I bought. I was bigger too. But I kept them both for different spots. On the downside, the delivery was significantly slower on this pad versus the other one I bought, which came 2 days Prime. So, 1 star off for it not working in the sun and the slow delivery.

Was hoping to lay on the garage floor but there is no way it would stay flat and in place. It is cool to touch after being in hot mailbox. Going to try laying on their beds to help. Not worth the money in my opinion. Large mat would be the perfect size for a small dog.

I was skeptical, I won’t deny it. My dog gets so warm, he constantly looks for cooler places to lie down. I read reviews and crossed my fingers. The mat came today, and my dog took to it instantly. Yes, it’s thin, not padded as other reviewers noted, but in searching for cool spots my dog usually lies directly on the floor, so that wasn’t an issue. I put it on the floor and he went right to it and lay down, where he miraculously stayed for almost an hour. He is a lap dog, but after a few minutes he usually has to leave my lap. The picture shows him as he has been for the last half hour. My legs are warm from his body heat, but he is comfy as can be. This product is worth its weight in gold as far as we are concerned!

dog has hard time using other than on couch or bed= moves when they try to sit on it or lay down- nothing to keep it in place - its basically a blanket material

Feels cool, looks nice though unimpressive as quite thin. Have placed it on top of a mat and not washed yet.

I wanted cooling mats for a dog and a cat but did not want one made of gel. This was good and the pets seem to like them. No problem with the pets using them and I would purchase these again, thank you.

La compré con expectativas bajas creyendo que era una manda ligera peeeeero resulta y resalta que realmente se mantiene fresca. Tiene una doble tela y una es porosa y supongo esa hace el efecto. El punto es que a mi perrito le encantó y le gusta mucho acostarse ahí a tomar su siesta. Recomendado !!

We bought the brown version and though my dog likes it, this one did not have any sort of anti-skid backing as described. Perhaps there is design variation between colours, but it is not suitable for our laminate flooring. Fine for the dog, but unsafe to put it where it might get stepped on by humans. That’s a disappointment.

El producto en sí es bueno.. pero siento que le falto que le pusiera. Esas marcas non slip en la parte de abajo porque, cualquier movimiento que hace mi perra y se arruga..
