Looks good, very impressive, but after wearing this watch for just one week, the 'metal' coating on the inside of the bracelet has started to come off, leaving a black mark on my wrist. There are patches visible on the inside of the bracelet which show bare 'metal'. Will be returning under guarantee. Suspect that this item may not be genuine as I cannot believe that a fault like this would occur on a watch reputed to retail at over £500

Before ordering this Globenfeld watch which has a recommended retail price of £525 and is being sold for just under £50 I started to wonder what was wrong with it and how can a £525 watch be sold for such a cheap price, so to review this watch I'm going to review it for the price it is being sold at and not at its RRP.Up on receiving the watch from Amazon and removing it from its packaging I was surprised how heavy the box was that the Globenfeld watch was in.The box was very smart and robust not what I was expecting from a £50 watch but yes what you would expect from a £500 watch which the RRP is for this watch, so a good start.Inside the box you receive the watch and a user manual that tells you how to use the watch and information about its 5 year warranty.Taking the watch out of its box the first thing you notice is how large and chunky it is as well as how heavy it is around 218 grams in weight. The back of the watch and the glass face of the watch are protected with a clear film of plastic and the bracelet is also wrapped in a film of plastic to protect it.Removing the plastic protection from the watch bracelet and putting the watch on I was again surprised at how large the bracelet was, I have a lot of watches and fairly large wrists and this is the first time I have had to adjust a bracelet and remove a link from it to make it fit my wrist.Removing any links from the bracelet is quick and easy but if you’re not happy in removing them yourself I would presume a jeweller would do it for a small charge.TESTINGHaving adjusted the watch bracelet to fit my wrist I started to try the watch out.The watch is very comfy to wear and all the buttons and main dial on the watch feel durable and resilient as does all of the watch.The watch has a lot of features on it.It can display two different times one from the main analogue clock face and the other from one of its three digital displays.The digital time can be displayed in a 24 or 12 hour format.The watch can display the month date and day, has a stopwatch with a split time function, an alarm with hourly chime feature and is water resistant to 30 metres thou I have not tried this feature out.One other feature this watch has is its back light; you press one of the buttons and all the digital numbers light up blue so you can easily see them in the dark.CONCLUSIONI have only had this Globenfeld watch for six days but I love it and is my new main watch replacing a watch costing a lot more than this one.So far it has kept excellent time, it looks and feels very robust has a good clear display on the main analogue display as well as its three digital displays and has a great back light function.So far I have had no problems with the watch and for less than £50 this is an excellent watch and would definitely recommend it.[...]Thank you for taking the time to read my review.[...].

I am not a privaliged reviewer and I havent been given this Watch for a Review. I bought this Watch as a Lover of Good Quality timepieces and i have to say i am not dissapointed in the slightest. On arrival the Watch was packaged well in a sturdy box. The instructions are clear and precise and the Watch is easy to set up, It took me literally 5 minutes. This Watch is Big and it is fairly weighty, But in all the right ways, It is sturdy and well made. I have worn this casually and with a Suit and i have had people ask me where i got it from. The time keeps well and the digital blue touches are brilliant at Night. It alarms with a beep on the hour every hour which is a nice touch.It says it has a RRP of £525 and after owning several pieces around this value it is up there with them, So getting this at £49.99 is a no brainer!

Love this watch. I know it supposed to be a big heavy watch but to be honest i don't notice the weight now, though i always did like Casio G's & this is heavier. Be prepared to have a few of the wrist links removed as i'm not Sumo wrestler or a giant though better too big than too small. Good price for a really good watch & it was delivered fast.

A watch with an RRP of £525 you should not expect the strap to fade from black to a copper colour, the digital time display and second display to not show all of the charactors fully(mossing part of the display). The bezel numbers rubbing off, The back of the strap is wearing away, leaving a very rough surface. It is no wonder that there is so much of a discount, as they could not sell it at the full price and get away with such a bad build quality. Overall, this is possibly the worst watch that I have ever purchased, and will never purchase this brand of watch ever again, even if it to be given away for free. I wish that there was a review that had no stars, as I would have used it for this review.

However I can live with this. What I do find a bit disappointing is the fact that the small hand appears to be slightly out, so three o clock is more like 88 degrees rather than 90. I suppose this is what you get if you buy cheaper watches.

Strap showed signs of wear when the watch arrived. It appears the coating of the strap is wearing away.
