Right from the moment I opened the 12lb bucket, I was immediately greeted with an extremely sweet and powerful natural smelling vanilla aroma. The smell reminds me of a vanilla cake batter. First off, it’s 2024 if you’re still using a blender bottle to mix your protein powder you’re always going to have a clumpy mess. Invest in a “Ninja Bullet” & thank me later! The taste was exactly as the smell, not overpowering but a very natural, sweet, vanilla flavor. Honestly one of the best vanilla protein powders I’ve ever tried!!! No clumping or issues with blending, and the final shake has a smooth texture with little to no frothing. I mixed 240ml of skim milk, 2 scoops of the powder, and a few ice cubes. This is by far the best value for protein powder available anywhere; high protein, low calories, tons of BCAA’s and AA’s, and it tastes absolutely delicious! I’m really not sure how there are even negative reviews as they must’ve gotten old stock or something? I’ll be honest, after reading some of the reviews I was even starting to get a bit worried, but absolutely 0 complaints from me. 6/5 stars ⭐️ HUGE thank you to Colossal Labs!!! 🙌🏼🔥💪🏼

I usually buy unflavored whey protein isolate (from various manufacturers depending on who is cheapest) because the artificial sweeteners used by most manufacturers give flavored ones a bad after taste. Fortunately, this manufacturer uses sucralose (aka Splenda) and that is the one artificial sweetener I can enjoy without aftertaste. I use a couple of scoops in my morning coffee for an early boost of protein in my low carb (< 40g daily) diet. It mixes well when I shake it in my closable 24 oz insulated cup. I will definitely be buying more in the future as long as their prices remain competitive.

I was really hoping that this protein would be an affordable way to supplement my protein. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Upon opening it for the first time, I was already fairly disappointed. It smelled as if someone melted Kraft cheese and a chocolate bar together, dehydrated it, and made it into a powder. I was further disappointed when I saw home awful it mixes, and whenever you do get it to mix, it tastes terrible. It’s a cheaply made, awful smelling/tasting, poor mixing, nausea inducing protein powder, and it shouldn’t be sold. At the very least, this current formula shouldn’t be sold. Unfortunately, I squandered time trying to get myself to like it/get used to it, and now I’ve missed my return window. So, now, I’m stuck with a protein I cannot stand, get nauseous whenever I think about drinking it, and takes up space(this last gripe will be solved once I throw it in the trash). My advice, don’t buy this protein. Save up your money, and use your hard earned cash to get a product that’s a little bit more expensive, but will be far more satisfactory. You’ll save yourself time, and stomach cancer.

Really good value, 25 grams of protein, 121 calories for about 74 cents per serving. I really like the flavor on the chocolate one, it’s better than some of the higher dollar proteins I’ve tried. It mixes well in my shaker cups. I’m about 9 pounds into a 12 pound tub and will be ordering another one when I start running low.

Not only is this one of the cheapest powders on Amazon but it is also among the best. I'm on my second 12 lb tub. My first was the Wonka Chocolate, the one I'm on now is Vicious Vanilla. Even though the names are extreme, the flavor profiles of both are quite mild. Flavor wise, neither one is too sweet or overwhelming. You won't get sick of it easily.I personally prefer the vanilla over the chocolate. Neither one mixes perfectly but vanilla seems to be smoother and mixes a bit better. The chocolate also has an odd after taste (like corn tortillas) and seems to be a bit thicker plus grittier. I'm not sure if that's simply because of the cocoa.The vanilla is very natural tasting and mixes really, really well with almost anything. If you prefer a chocolatey flavor, you should still get the vanilla and just mix in a bit of unsweetened cocoa powder. The sweetness of the vanilla protein powder by itself is enough to create a rich chocolatey shake. It tastes lot like Godiva hot cocoa mix.The vanilla is also mild enough that it won't mess up recipes. So far, I've used it for pancakes and they've turned out nice and fluffy. There was just a pleasant hint of vanilla.

I'm on my 4th or 5th bucket of this product, 12lbs. First 2 were. Chocolate, last 3 were vanilla. Both taste great, considering. If you aren't used to protein supplements then you'll likely say it taste chalky. If you still have high amounts of sugar in your diet, you'll likely say it lacks flavor or has an after taste. I drink my protein 3x a day and the 12lb bucket last me about 4.5 months.I recommend buying a screw on 5gal bucket lid for this so that you only have to pry the lid off 2x. And to avoid flavor burn out add peanut butter powder to the chocolate or salted caramel syrup. For the vanilla I like chai syrup, fruity cereal (fruity pebbles) syrup, or buttered pecan syrup.

It took way too long to open the container. I legit had to use a knife. I opened it and immediately smelled sweet strawberry play doe. I tried two scoops with water and it tasted like play doe. The best thing to do is mix it in a real smoothie. Im guessing it smells and taste funny because of the vitamins? I guess? I hope…

Whey on a budget. Perfect for protein supplementation.
