C5 Premium AC/Power Supply Adapter for Xbox One

My XBox One power supply became very noisy after 2 years of use. My first option was to order a cheapo from eBay. I made that mistake and the cheap option worked still with some noise, but shortly after I started playing it began to smell like burnt rubber. After 4 hours of continuous play my XBox shut down. The cheap eBay power supply was fried. Too hot to touch.So I researched on Amazon and the reviews for the C5 were good and I bought it. Now I wish I had acquired this one form the get go. It arrived a day early, well packed - not over packed - Easy to plug in, worked right out of the box, with absolutely no noise. I've had it for less than a week, but have put in many hours of continuous play with no issues.

The first time I plugged this into my Xbox, it quit before even turning the Xbox on. After unplugging it to reset it and plugging it back into the Xbox, it worked for a couple of minutes, and then quit, requiring another reset. Rinse and repeat. I am returning the defective unit.When it does work, for a minute or two, it is fairly quiet. (I am looking for an adapter to fill in for my original adapter that has gotten way too loud.) Unfortunately I can only be in the Xbox dashboard, so I can't say how this will work when gaming.The packaging is terrible. The unit is shipped in a shipping box that is not taped, and there is no padding for stability. I have a hunch that my adapter probably fell out of the shipping box at least once. The adapter box had a dent on one corner.Whether the problem is a defective unit or poor packaging, I'll still look elsewhere.

The package arrived unharmed, but I would have liked for it to have some sort of padding in the box containing the power supply. This product works perfectly. I am actually surprised at how close to the original Xbox One power supply it is. The only difference is it has a bigger vent where the light is, which I am not sure if that is good or bad. I don't want dust and other particles to get into the power supply and make something go wrong. Other than that I am very pleased and will purchase more in the future if necessary.

When I received this product, it was simply sitting in the cardboard box. There was no plastic packaging around the individual components (as electronics should be shipped to protect against debris contamination). When I took it out of the box, it was filthy, as if it had been sitting unprotected in a very dirty area before shipping. I cleaned it as best I could with a dry cloth, and when I went to turn it on, the indicating light turned orange for a moment, then shut off. It would not power up my Xbox. I tried other outlets and reset the power brick several times with the same result. I tried plugging in the old power supply and it still worked fine (I wanted to replace it because it is loud). Basically, when this product was manufactured, it was probably a working unit, but its handling appears to be very poor before shipping.

Does its intended job perfectly with no problems a few months after purchase. This replaced the manufacturers power supply for my Xbox One which lasted barely a year befor the cooling fan started to make noise. This unit may bot be the cheapest power brick out there, but you get what you pay for. This power supply is good quality at a good price.

Not one problem. I'm glad i choose this over the cheap imitations. Great replacement product. Quiet, indication light is on, powers my x box one just fine

had it for months now works great, but i also got a little fan pointed at it to keep it cool (had two oem p/s for the one burn up).

So Far it has worked great! No more grinding sounds. Would buy again.
