This product works great

This is the same one the orthodontist gave us. My son loves it because it only needs to be done twice a week instead of daily.

These easy-to-use tablets kill odor-causing bacteria and make sure your retainers are sanitary. Simply drop one tablet into a glass containing enough warm water to cover the appliance, let your retainers rest for 15 minutes in the liquid. I've had the same retainer for over 10 years, so I need to keep it free from germs, especially in all the little areas with scratches. This tablet works great and has a fresh scent and flavor. I still don't know if I would use these only twice a week. When I skipped a day I felt like my retainer needed brushing. I think I will use these once or twice a week as a deep clean and still use my daily retainer tabs for daily cleaning. I do keep my retainers dry and only soak them before using them, per my orthodontist's advice.Hope you found this review helpful!

It makes perfect sense however that there would be. My daughter has used a retainer for probably 6 months and she has just been rlr8nsing it in water. After the first application we definitely saw a change in the retainers. They were definitely much more clear than they have previously to the clean. And this was just after one use.Look at me the instructions are super simple. Grab a glass cup/bowl with warm water, pop in one tablet and toss in your retainer(s). 15 minutes later, rinse. On days she doesn't wear her retainer she continues to rinse and brush with a clean toothbrush. It's been working great and I don't think we will live without these tablets!

I was excited to try out a new retainer cleaner, especially one that advertised itself as only 2 cleanings per week. However, after using many other brands, this fell well short of expectations and cleaned worse not better than mainstream brands. I use the tablets in a sonic retainer cleanser appliance. With other tablets, after dissolving and sitting for while, the water turns a clear color. Not so with these tablets - the water remains milky white and even with brushing the retainer as recommended after cleaning, there is absolutely no evidence that these tablets actually cleaned up the retainer. No noticeable difference at least. I tossed the rest of these and went back to a mainstream brand.

My husband takes his mouth guard (for sleeping to prevent TMJ symptoms) to the dentist twice a year when he has cleanings. They have a professional strength de-scaling machine which makes it incredibly clean.I figured it would be nice for him to be able to deep clean it more often so ordered these. He says they work really well, nearly as well as the dentist’s machine. Even though the dentist is free, it’s really nice and not that expensive to have these on hand for a nice deep clean in between the dentist visits. We definitely recommend them!

I usually use a name brand product and have been for several years. I really didn't see any major difference with these. I get the same suds, I let them sock overnight they do a deep washing in the morning and my guard is fresh and ready to go. As for me, I use them every other night because I need my mouth to be fresh. I guess if I don't see any adverse effect, I have to say they work. I can't tell the difference and for me that's a good thing. I do think they are a little pricey.

I wear a plastic (non-wire) retainer at night and have tried many types of retainer cleaning tablets. I am supposed to wear this retainer for the next several years, so I need to keep it clean! These tablets work very well in removing stains and odors on plastic retainers. I am not sure I'd only do 2 cleanings (2 tablets) per week, as the package says. I prefer to soak it every day, but that is just my preference. When I take my retainer out in the morning, I put it in a cup, add a tablet, and enough water to soak the retainer.
