I have type 4 hair. Scent is the same but lighter. Smells like syrup, and I never had a big problem with it. The mousse is very good. Idk if there was a formula change or what, but it appears to have more slip, it's more smoothing, and feels very moisturizing when applied to the hair. It is very curl defining too, and you only need 1 pump per section, sometimes less, but it was like that before, a little really goes a long way with this.I feel like it gives less volume than it did before on the first day, but I think I used to use more water. And it does have good volume on the second day. So if you want more volume, definitely use more water. It's a very moisturizing product, but it always has been. What I noticed most is that the application is smoother, feels creamier (coats hair better), and has better slip.I've seen people say in the past that it doesn't have enough hold, but I think that may be because they're not using a shampoo and conditioner/deep conditioner with a good moisture protein balance. This isn't gonna give you a hard gel cast, but if you like soft fluffy curl definition, it definitely gives that.

I’ve been natural for 12 years and have tried countless products—nothing consistently worked well for my hair. I even used some of Camille’s products about six years ago, but this mousse tops them all! There’s noticeably less shrinkage, my hair stays moisturized, and it even holds up beautifully in humidity. Truly a game-changer.

Used to have insanely frizzy hair until I used this product for a couple weeks, now my frizz has been controlled and maintains well

The product is good, it smells strong of honey and it's also sticky but basically it's really good on the hair

I have dense, 3c, low porosity hair and I love the way this clumps my curls, especially when pairing with their guava slip whipped soufflé styler. I’ve seen a few reviews talk about the stickiness, but I haven’t experienced any. I’ve found that I don’t have to use as much of the product to coat my hair. It has really good hold but doesn’t leave my hair crunchy and you're also going to still have volume.
