Valterra Flush King for the Win!
Received this item on 5/21/2025. After reading previous reviews about leaks, I tightened the nuts on the valve gate and used teflon tape on the hose inlet to the 45 degree elbow. I also attached a water meter to tell me how many gallons of water were being pumped into the tanks each time. I used it the next day on my 5th wheel RV tanks (3 tanks) that are approximately 50 gallons each. I pumped in 40 gallons of water at our storage sewer dump station and this device cleaned the tanks out in two fills each. It was amazing to see what it does to clean the tanks out. The first fill flushes out most of the residual stuff in the tank and the second fill was clear water. I will use this device from now on instead of the factory clean out as this device does the job I needed it to. This device came with an anti-siphon back flow preventer to put on your hose water source to keep any back flow contamination of the water. Best part of this device is after tightening up the bolts on the valve gate and using teflon tape on the threads of the water inlet on the 45 degree elbow, there were no leaks! I highly recommend this Valterra Flush King device. But I do recommend getting a water hose meter to tell you how many gallons of water you’re pumping into the tanks too so you don’t over fill your tanks with water.

Truly works on serious clogs
We had a serious clog in our black tank and were able to clear it up and clean out the tank completely. I dropped 5- 1 gallon jugs several times while my buddy worked the Valterra on the outlet and it worked great. Highly recommend it! Had estimates of $200-300 to come out till we found it on Amazon

Miracle Worker on Clogged Pipes!
Saved our clogged pipes!!! Our gray tank was backing up into the tub and we tried everything from a plunger to a vinegar/baking soda mix. The Flush King worked incredibly well and unclogged it immediately!

Valtera Flush King 45 dev valve
Excellent valve to back flush your black tank on the RV. I take it off ,rinse it and let it dry. Then spray some silicone in each side. Work the valve open and closed to get it into the seals. If you do that occasionally, it’ll make it work smooth and last longer.

Worked as needed
I got the valve for almost 50% off. Which is awesome. The Rhino valve is probably made better. But I couldn't pass on the price for this one since I needed it. Our gray tank got clogged and I tried the vinegar and baking soda and a cut off hose up the drain pipe. Neither worked. I got this in and slapped it on and it immediately unclogged the tank. It does spew over a little in some areas. But I think if I'd have taken the time to inspect and make sure it was sealed, that wouldn't have happened. It comes with a little hose attachment so you can easily attach and detach it. I took it off after use so I don't constantly run black or gray water through it. Worth the money to have on hand in case of a clog.

Handy, easy to use holding tank cleaner!
If you own an RV, you Need one of these. They cared enough about your health to include a back-flow preventer! Also great if you have issues with the original gate valves working properly.

When You Just Have to Clear the Drain...
We have a big fifth wheel that has been parked in a co-op park for five years, and we don't expect to take it on the road again. Over time, despite care to avoid grease and oils in the drain, the sludge built up and clogged the kitchen gray tank. I tried Drano, hot water, a garden hose, all to no avail. I bought this gadget, hooked it up, and blew the mess away in seconds. After clearing the clog, I used some chemical emulsifiers to dissolve the grease and blew it all out again. After a couple of iterations, the drain runs freely. I did the same routine on the bathroom gray tank, and it freed up a lot of accumulated hair and sludge. Our black tank has an internal sprayer to prevent accumulation of you-know-what, so I didn't have to use it there, but I could.A tool that every RVer should have in his/her arsenal. You'll be amazed at what comes out of holding tanks. This will help you get rid of it without getting your hands icky.
