Great swivel point double pulley!
Like almost all of Petzl’s rigging gear the Spin L2 is exceptional quality. I fell in love with the swivel link on the Pro Traxion. I’ve paired this with the Rescucender and the Twin Release progress capture double pulley for hauling our 19 gallon setter’s bucket (fully loaded with big holds) up either on a separate haul line attached to a neighboring belay bar, or the one I’m working from, and it is saving my shoulders so much wear and tear. I’ll set up the line through both pulleys and attach the Rescucender just below my alpine butterfly, with the Twin Release connected to it, with the static line threaded, so when I pull the knot up the upper rigging is already at its high point. From there I start hauling the holds up with a 4:1 advantage pulling down, until I’ve completed the set, and then set the line around the brake (best with a glove) and open the release lever and lower the assembly back to the ground and lower off. I retrieve the Rescucender and Twin Release when I pull the alpine butterfly back down to untie it.I’ve been practicing rescue oriented rigging set ups using different extraction and access point configurations to test shuttling laterally, hauling up on a diagonal with a trolley pulley, and utilizing a Roll-clip, single pulleys with or without progress capture, and transfers between lines - it’s been really cool, and these pulleys feel like they could lift double their rating (not going to try that). Highly recommend.
