Works as advertised. Very nice product.
I bought this to replace my no-longer supported iSmart system. I wanted a security system that lets ME know when someone opens a door or enters a room without authorization. I do not need a monthly $40+ bill for a service that will call me for a password for false alarms 99.99% of the time. I am very capable of calling the police if ever needed. Currently X-sense does not support cameras, which is not an issue for me, since my camera system has always been a hard-wired separate system. They do claim to be working on that feature. This system works great. It's very flexible as far as configurations; There is home and away (motion) settings, I can have the alarm sound, a bright flashing light, both or none. All with volume and brightness controls. No matter what, it sends a push notification right to my phone explaining any issue.I can arm and disarm using my phone, the remote control, or Alexa.I have only two issues with the system compared to my old, but theses are not show-stoppers and not worthy of removing a star:1. The sensors are very large, see photo. This is due to the battery used by the sensors. The base station is AC and plugs into the wall, the remote sensors obviously must use batteries. They are not the little quarter sized button batteries, but CR123A, which are slightly smaller that a C battery. I'm assuming these will last much longer than the button batteries. They are available on amazon and not expensive. It does make placement an issue if you have a tight spot around a door.2. My old system had a sensor history. Like I could see when my front door was opened or closed for like the last few weeks. Sounds weird, but I found it useful with teenagers with curfews in the house.Again, not show stoppers, and the system is very nice and easy to set up.

Cheap, realiable. Lacks customisable modes though.
Excellent product. Easy to install and *just works*, specially the Alexa integration. However, it's lacking one key item for me. I can't seem to be able to create my own custom modes. Right now it has home/away modes which basically turn everything off or everything on. I want to create a mode to turn on just the window/door sensors and not the motion detectors so we can activate this at night when sleeping but be able to still get up to go grab some water. Also, siren isn't very loud but, it's certainly enough to let intruders know they've been detected which should be enough in my experience (sadly!) to make them leave.Otherwise, excellent product. Thanks!P.S. I'm not sure why they say it only works in certain countries. I've got mine up and running in Sri Lanka however, I did set my home country as UK in the app but, this doesn't seem to have made a difference?

Base station goes offline after a couple of days
Base station goes offline after a day or two then the reset button and button on the base station donât do anything. I have to unplug the device, wait for it to power off (which takes about 2 days), then it reconnects on power up. After a day or two same thing. Iâve had this about a month and my property is only protected 1/3 of the time at best.Updating this review to 5 stars, the seller contacted me and sent me a whole new kit free of charge, this one works great so far! Excellent customer service!!

System isn't that great if you need to upgrade
System isn't loud at all to draw attention or make the intruders leave the premises. Alarm motion sensors can only be mounted flat and not in the corner of the room like other alarm systems I've had in the past so it cuts the radius coverage. Then you need more contact sensors which are not cheap your gonna end up spending more for your sensors then you paid on the entire bundle system. Not to happy with the system ... it may be great if you have a 1 bedroom or a studio home. But don't expect much ! I am super disappointed on the cost of additional contact sensors. That's where they get you on additional sensors cause if you have more then a one bedroom home your gonna need more contact sensors. Motion sensors are good for backup not great cause by the time they are triggered there already in your home. Contact sensors is a must for every window and door especially for a one story home. And they are pricey for this system. No bundle price for contact sensors. Wouldn't suggest buying the system unless additional sensors come down on cost and if they get additional sirens.

Not a reliable system. Suddenly everything went offline and froze!
Setup was easy but did not last long and had to return. The base station hung and wont reset. App not friendly and robust. Has bugs and hung at times as well. Have ring door bell and got Ring in place of this. Realized should have done it earlier as it has better integration and more robust software.

Beautiful Easy to Set up Alarm System
X-Sense alarm system is just a wonderful unit. I have had three alarm systems before and let me tell you, this alarm was much much easier to set up. There are no codes to enter, just use the app. Download the app and set it up. My daughter helped me to pair the unit with the my WI-FI.There is no big printed instructions on how to enter different parameter; like delay, on, adjusting alarm volume and etcetras. In fact after the syatem was set up, I ordered another motion sensor directly from X-Sense.You can add more sensors as you need. I believe its up to 32. Another important thing is their Customer Service. I emailed them, and they replied quickly to answer my question. I also called them on the phone, and spoke to Customer Service. The only thing tricky about this unit is the instructions; could have been printed with a bigger font. So, yes I thin this is the best alarm system that I have had.Piervito from Brooklyn, New York
