It straight up says deskpad. What do you expect from a deskpad really? If it says neoprene, you should know it'd be porous. I don't think you can see the texture unless you use DSLR like 5D level. The smell goes away within few hrs or so. All in all, it's a useful deskpad with a pretty pattern.

Is it an overpriced giant mouse pad? Yes. Do I regret buying it ? Absolutely no. I got it so that I have better background for my food photos, and it makes my photo looks so much better ! If they are less expensive instead of $30 per one, I will buy more in different designs. Marble is probably not a good idea because the pad is fabric and it's texture is not as glossy as real stone, which may show in a closeup shot.

I purchased the marble mat. From the moment I took this desk mat out of the box, I was disappointed. If your aim is to use this as a photo backdrop, you too will be disappointed. The neoprene material smells, the freshly cut edges already show signs of fraying, and the surface is noticeably porous.I haven't decided if I will exchange this item for a darker pattern that won't show the neoprene pores as much or just return the item for a refund. I'll wait another day to see if the odor goes away.Note that the material of this desk pad is FABRIC. It will absorb moisture, it will stain, and it will get dingy. It is little more than an oversized mousepad.

BEWARE THE FALSE ADVERTISING in the photo above -- this company apparently thinks that we should want our desks to be an advertisement for their product. The corner of my black mat has a large white logo of the company's website URL that is not pictured on the photo. That is completely uncalled for -- and whereas the mat is otherwise as expected, I am quite surprised that this company would want to do business by tricking people into buying their product. The bait & switch is insulting.

This product was just what I was looking for to add to my home office area. I have a crappy desk that is probably cork with a wood design glued on to it. Having this desk pad makes me able to take close up pictures of products for my blog, making it look like I'm taking a picture on a good looking wood surface. I will be buying more of these, maybe in the concrete and marble design. Pictures added with the Colourpop eyeshadows are my desk pictures without the Desk Pad and the second picture with the highlighter products is my desk with the Desk Pad.

Looks exactly like the picture. I love it! It has a fishy smell when you take it out the package but once you air it out, itll be fine

This product completely covered a crack in a marble top and blends very well. I would definitely recommend.

I use this as a backdrop for my Instagram account and it looks amazing!
