This railing is a nice product. easy to install and comes with all the needed tools - including a pencil!

It is solid and easy to install. I am pretty DIY savvy and had a good hammer drill and better bits, but the product came with everything else needed. It came with hammer bits but mine were just better. :)Recommend.

Connecting this section to a staircase section with the included plastic parts is inviting failure and possible injury to a user. The long screws used to attach this section to the wall require a screw driver bit not included. To prevent scratches to the finish, I recommend assembling the product on a carpeted floor before attempting to install it. I also believe this installation requires two people, and a strong hammer-drill if installing on stone or concrete, also use strong epoxy to bond the masonry anchor bolts to anything harder than wooden stairs. Not a bad product at all once it’s minor deficiencies are corrected. An ounce of touch up paint would be nice.

I thoroughly enjoyed adding this durable product to the entrance area of my home to assist my mother-in-law's mobility and safety. Everything from the packaging of the product, the instruction booklet, to my interaction with customer service for guidance and replacement component was superb. I wholeheartedly recommend the selection of this product if you're in the market for such an item.

After installing the rails on stairs we decided we wanted a complete look. Feels safer and looks better. Also seems sturdier together

Our back stoop has a top landing about 3 feet square. I bought this (plus the step rail) to provide some support for my elderly mother when she comes over (plus we're getting older too!). It comes with almost everything needed to install. Everything was well packaged, and included screws and anchors, a miniature level, a concrete bit and a HSS bit, ruler, and depth gage for the anchors. The hardest part was drilling the concrete. If you are going into concrete and if you don't have an SDS drill, borrow or rent one and a 5/16 (8mm) SDS bit. The bit provided will only work on Jacob's chuck type drills, and doesn't last long even if kept wet. SDS highly recommended. Keep the bit wet. Also divot the hole centers before drilling or the bit will wander.For me the other tricky part was determining the house end anchoring. the top was pretty fixed if I wanted a level rail, but the lower rail could be moved. I appreciated being able to locate it anywhere on the post and not have that predetermined. (My house has vinyl siding, so I wanted to mount it where the screws would find sound substrate.) (the steps handrail and mid rail height was not adjustable but was not a problem). It comes with an adjustable top rail joint to connect the hand rail sections together. There were no instructions provided for this section, but if you are reasonably handy you can figure it out. A little booklet did come with the step railing. I used an angle grinder to cut the rails to the lengths I needed, but a hacksaw would also work.

Extremely high quality product with excellent customer service. Everything you will need is in the box except for a drill and your muscles. I am 71 years old and I installed it myself - though having 2 people to would be much easier while setting it in place. Customer service is the best I have every encountered. I wish I had more stairs that needed railings!

Got these because I was told that anything over 2 risers needed a handrail for safety. I purchased two but only installed on one side. Convenient and quick install, but too early to tel if it will hold up. The piece that connects the upper rail to the stairs handrail seems flimsy and does not look finished.

I had an issue where i received two different top rails. The rail for the stairs was rectangular and the rail for the top of stairs to the house was oval. I contacted the company CR Handrail and they were awesome to deal with. They sent me the oval handrail for the stairs promptly and at no extra charge. The installation was straight forward. The only word of caution i would give would be to be careful with the screws. They strip very easy. I would use a screwdriver rather than a drill for installation
