Product Description Such Were Some of You (A Documentary) was inspired by the passage in 1st Corinthians 6:11 that declares that in Jesus day there was a population who had been so transformed by their relationship with Him that they were no longer same-sex attracted or at the very least, actively homosexual. They had found such a measure of healing from the brokenness and strongholds associated with what we now call homosexuality that they no longer considered themselves homosexual, nor did they act in that way. Such Were Some of You features interviews with a cloud of present-day witnesses who testify to the same life-transforming power of Jesus Christ. They describe the development of their same-sex attractions, what the gay lifestyle was like, what their conversion process was like, and the various ways that Jesus has brought healing to their broken places. Such Were Some of You lays out the facts about healing homosexual confusion and rejoices in the reality that Jesus Christ can heal anyone from anything while providing grace for the journey. About the Director Dr. David Kyle Foster (M-Div - Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; D-Min - Trinity School for Ministry) is the author of Love Hunger: A Harrowing Journey from Sexual Addiction to True Fulfillment, Sexual Healing: A Biblical Guide to Finding Freedom from Sexual Sin and Brokenness, and Transformed Into His Image: Hidden Steps on the Journey to Christlikeness. Long but worth the time
It is difficult to listen to the first hour, but finally they start to share how God gave them victory over their lifestyle choice and how God's love for them, meeting them where they were was wonderful. They expressed their love for Him in that He loved them in spite of their sin and cleansed them. They were realistic in the temptation is still in some of their lives, but clearly explained the difference between temptation and the choice to disobey. And, that God gave them power through His Spirit to resist temptation. The only thing I found out of place and tasteless was the woman that showed her cleavage with her low clothing. It just seems out of place and counter productive to the lesbian homosexual stories. I hope she learns how to be modest. It could be a great distraction to many a man or woman as they try to watch such a good video that could have been even better had she made a better choice to cover her breasts.

Authentic
There's a lot of hype surrounding the gay and gay pride community/industry. There's not much in the news about the negative statistics and real stories. A lot of people gushing about how this is their place now that they've come out as gay or lesbian... Nothing from the other side. Of people who have been in it for years. Because the community grows by recruitment. The HIV/AIDS, depression, substance abuse, and suicide rates have concerned me for awhile since my brother started getting into it. This film has given me hope. I cried through almost all of it. Moving stories of transformation through love. I hope there are many more like theirs that have yet to be shared."The greatest of these is...love."

Wow! The movie we've needed to see for a while now.
Excellent! Griping! God led, God inspired and so necessary for this present time. Every one of these believers who stood for Jesus and their healing from abuse, molestation, peer pressure, and poor choices is a victor over lifestyles that would have shortened their time one art and hastened their destruction. May every single one of these born again and awesome individuals continue to walk strong and spread their much needed message to everyone around them; especially those who need it most. Thank you!

WOW ... I'm gobsmacked!
The many people - good friends! - that I have known over the years who relayed the same experiences (it varied from person to person) confirm this film. Finally, there is a means to fully understanding. I believe that everyone should set aside their "shoulds" and "I think"s and honestly watch this without presuppositions. Parents and those who hope to be parents, in particular, should watch this with a eye to how they treat children. Children should be loved for who they are and their strengths, which are gender neutral, celebrated. My daughter is a girlie girl, I'm not, but I found ways to connect with her, celebrate her, encourage her in her strengths which are different than mine and I learn from her. We all need to treat others, especially those smaller than us, as we would like to be treated.Wow ... WTG Amazon! Someone over there got moxie!

Excellent and well done...
This was a very well done documentary and I'm so proud of these people who have found Jesus and are following Him, even if it means they deny themselves....which it ALWAYS does. He's worth the sacrifice of our own feelings or tendancies. He will always be the Truth...not what society or any other source says. A relationship with the Father is what brings real peace and joy. I thank God for His mercy and love... that He takes us as we are and then transforms us into new creations, if we let Him. He sent Jesus because of His great LOVE for us....not because of His judgement. Though His judgement is just and right, His mercy triumphs over judgement. He's not willing that any should perish for any sin, big or small, so He made a way for us to be in right standing with Him, if we choose it. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us to be reunited with our Father in Heaven. That isn't "hate". It's the only true Love, if you just open your eyes to see it. He is a Giver....He will never allow our sacrifices to be greater than what He will give back to us in relationship with Him. You CANNOT out-give God! It's impossible.

Very good and necessary info
I really enjoyed this program. As others stated, it does start out a bit slow. I liked when it got into the real people sharing their stories. I understand the point of the beginning establishing the thoughts regarding if they were "born this way" but I'm afraid that it might dissuade people from watching the rest of the video. So if you are reading this wondering if you should watch - ESPECIALLY if you are a member of the LGBT community - I encourage you to sit tight and ride the wave until it gets to the people telling their stories. You will probably see yourself in at least one of the characters... and you just may (probably) get answers you've been looking for, for so long.

The most powerful weapon is the truth.
What amazing stories of people who were searching for love that fills the empty place in the heart and remains there day by day. it was a reminder to me of how powerful the good news of having all sins forgiven and removed like being cleaned up on the inside, healed and being restored. meaning, origin, identity, destiny and morality all found in a relationship with the most loving, beautiful, powerful and wise person in the universe,. Jesus/Yeshua.

Gritty Powerful Stories changed by the love and power of Jesus.
I learn so much from people's testimonies. There was allot to unpack, yet it all is so valuable. There is much God can teach us even if the details of our life are different the generalities are all the same. We are all sheep that have gone astray and Jesus came looking for us to see if we would come back to Him. We all need to learn how to understand with wisdom and love how to relate to people however they come to God looking for help. Our influence is huge.

Respectful look at the journey out of homosexuality
This video is well done and shows just how false the battle cry of today's homosexual activists really is ("You are born that way and you can't change"). The video provides strong testimony of the power of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in helping people overcome unwanted same-sex attractions. The personal accounts of ex-gays in the documentary also show first-hand the impact of a loving, truthful response by Christians to people who are involved in the homosexual lifestyle. Highly recommended.
