Grandrich PL-27W Full Spectrum Replacement Bulb

The Grandrich PL-27W Full Spectrum replacement bulb works as expected. My son's side of the couch has a Bell And Howell full spectrum light. The bulb was burned out for at least three months before researching for the replacement bulb. I searched for it on the computer and this bulb came up. Since it's a funky style bulb to buy I purchased 3 from Amazon.com.1 to fix my sons light and 2 for later replacement as we have two Bell and Howell full spectrum floor lamps.The ordering was simple and the delivery was actuall ahead of schedule. My wife and son actually like it now as these lamps are our primary lighting for the great room and with one burned out one side is dark at night and you then cannot read or find things that fall on the side of the couch in the dark.to replace the bulb is a 1-2-3 step and your up and running again. The only problem with ordering online is the wait. If the brick and mortar stores would carry such replacements it would have been replaced a long time ago.

Remember a couple of years ago when these lamps were being marketed not merely as miraculous devices offering full-spectrum daylight but as a unique and revelatory opportunity to see nature's creation in all its celestial apparel? Frankly, the thrill was gone the moment the thing arrived, but it kept gracing a very limited area of my bedroom with its sunny beams--until I knocked it over. It's a fairly fragile sun--but not to worry. This one from Amazon is reasonably priced, is a cinch to install, and is no less resplendent than its predecessor (which really wasn't all that bright). If it's a miracle light as claimed, be assured that it's a readily replaceable, repeatable one.

It an awesome light that I literally leave on almost all day, and the thing never flicker. Very long lasting, the last one I had before I bought another one lasted almost five years. I suggest you buy at Lowes or someplace like that, as it is impossible to get one shipped out that won't break. Three times in a row they arrived broken, not the best packaging by the light company. Luckily, Amazon was a pleasure to deal with during the refund process. Still a great light though!

We use this bulb to keep our plants thriving over the winter months when we have to move them inside. We bought them after my wife brought her tree home from the office after they moved to a place where she couldn't keep the tree. We have only had to replace one bulb since we first bought the lamp. We have two more when needed. Long lasting, the plants like it, my wife likes it... I like it.

I ordered 2 Grandrich PL-27 Full Spectrum Replacement Bulbs, but received 2 "Made in China". The first one that I tried lasted only about 30 hours and the second one did not burn at all. I put in a new ballast and tried both bulbs. Neither one would burn. I am very disgusted and disappointed with the order of bulbs. I wrote a letter to Lamps USA explaining everything. The letter was mailed Wednesday, February 11, 2015. I hope to get an answer soon.

This particular light fixture has a non standard Notched base. Watch that you dont get sold a regular ovalized base.Keep in mind the light is fairly white, considering your preferance.My original bulb lasted approximately 3 years at my computer desk.Compared to local prices, and availability(!) I might add, this purchse was a good value.

Purchased the lamp (that is listed as an accompanying item) and a replacement bulb back in Feb 2011. Just replaced the original bulb and inserted the 2011 replacement today Aug 2015. Seems long lasting enough for me. Just ordered the next replacement bulb. Sometimes the lamp has not lit when switched on. I press the bulb in or whack the lamp firmly with my hand and light! Pretty durable.
