The stock double filter that comes with the Breville bambino weighs 174 g, it’s made of plastic and aluminum. This bottomless portafilter weighs 538g it’s three times the weight. When disposing of a used puck it flies right out because of the weight. Also because it’s steel cleaning it is a breeze, it also separates into 3 parts and you can remove the portafilter if you want to descale it in solution. I get a much better extraction using this compared to the factory one. I had a bottomless on my DeLonghi ECP3420 coffee machine and this one is much better quality. It also looks really nice!

To start off, the filter basket pulls an amazing shot if the grounds are prepared correctly, no complaints there. Latches onto my breville bambino perfectly fine. However, Im not impressed with the build quality of the screw mechanism between the pieces of the handle. The metal piece at the end of the handle feels great and heavy, but is always loose and whenever I grab the handle it loosens a bit forcing me to retighten. The portafilter is also very bottom heavy because of the end piece, which feels really weird when preparing shots.Edit: The end piece keeps falling off now making it quite unusable. Might have to just return this now...2nd Edit: Might have gotten a bad batch on my first order, customer service reached out and sent me a new one, superb! New portafilter feels just as nice in build quality but I added some thread lock for the end piece that seems to have done the trick keeping the piece in place. Weight of it still feels a little off for my preference but definitely contributes to the good feel in the hand.

Ordered this to replace the portafilter basket that came with my breville barista express. I liked having the bottomless design because it is easier to clean and i can visualize the extraction. My initial impression of the product was that it looked nice but it was heavy, much heavier than my previous portafilter basket. It seemed to reflect a good build quality, but it is very heavy nonetheless. For months it has functioned as expected, but caution, the three tabs are slightly different then the original basket. if you do not tighten basket with a very strong force before extracting, it can loosen and fall. This has happened three times now and has broken glass cups sitting under my portafilter.So overall its a nice piece of equipment, but heavy and doesn't seem to seat as well as the original basket. Caution to secure the basket tightly otherwise it will loosen and fall. I have since switched back to the original basket.

It’s real nice and heavy but this summabitch is clunky as fk. You have to hold it when your getting the grind. Once you get the grind size down this thing pours a mean shot. It’s pretty cool to see the shot being poured. You can see the channeling if any and helps you adjust your shot. Just wish it wasn’t so damn clunky and more light weight

The media could not be loaded.  I’ve been looking for a bottomless portafilter for my Breville for a while now. I’ve tried buying a few online from coffee sites but felt like they weren’t worth the hefty price tag. This one was priced very well and decided to pull the trigger.This comunita one actually has the best build quality and there’s a nice weight to the handle. The stainless steel handle actually really complements my Breville machine.The best thing about this portafilter is the basket. I’ve purchased a couple of the $30 so called “precision” baskets on here on Amazon but they don’t even come close to this stock comunita one that was included FOR FREE. I was able to get a beautiful looking pull - no channeling or anything. Couldn't wait for this portafilter to arrive! The build quality and hefty weight evokes a premium experience for my espresso workflow. The diameter of the handle fits my hand perfectly and the naked basket is a beauty to behold. The puck is removed cleanly with no snags. So far I have no complaints after pulling a handful of shots.

Great product for the price. Loving the look of this portafilter and the handle has good feel and weight to it. Goes well on my stainless steel Breville. I was worried about the handle unscrewing too easily like some of the reviews mentioned but I haven’t had that problem with the one I received. It also fits my dosing funnel perfectly. Highly recommended!

During extraction on a Breville Barista Pro this portafilter drifts loose during extraction. This began after 1.5 months of moderate use. The stock portafilter does not drift. I need to hold this in place to prevent it from popping off during extraction.

Demasiado peso ! No le veo el caso. además, no puedo retirar el filtro, está muy justo y apretado contra el maneral, su acabado es de calidad y su función aún no la califico porque estoy a la espera de un nuevo molino, porque mi "actual" no pulveriza lo suficiente bien para calibrar un buen espresso. Quiza más adelante pueda emitir una opinión de mayor justicia, cuando tenga el grado de molienda requerido para una buena extracción !
