Take the Time to Learn It...You'll Love It
I was bummed when I first received this Twist Straightener. I thought my hair was just too unmanageable or this thing just wouldn't work with my hair type. I watched a video as per other reviewers' suggestions and still it just didn't work well for me. It straightened just fine but I couldn't not get that twisty curliness or beachy curls or anything similar I wanted so badly. I kind of gave up.But one day I came across a video on Youtube about these types of straighteners. Then another one and another one....you know how youtube goes. And suddenly a light clicked on. I had been doing it all wrong. There is a specific method to using these devices and you must take the time to learn it and practice it. (but beware, there are lots of youtube videos that show you how it doen't work because they are using it ALL wrong). Now I am in love with this thing and I love my hair! The curls really last and just look amazing. Do make sure to use some heat protectant product. I recommend an argan oil, but that's just what works best for my hair.I have not tried a Tyme but I have watched many videos for the Tyme. So I cannot attest to whether the 2 are comparable. But as it stands, I see not reason to spend $200 now that I have this little miracle.

it looks easy to use, but its not, and I couldn't even returned it because it don't give me an option to return.

Have used it on 2 occasions and the paint is already melting off of the iron. Curls do not stay for more then an hr and the iron pulls more often then glides. Took quite a few goes per section of hair to get the angle right to make a curl aswell.

Should have bought it sooner
Excellent straightener, makes my hair soft and curls very nice once you get the hang of it, would definitely recommend.
