Le Creuset Stoneware Small Utensil Jar, 1.1 L and set of 2 Ramekins - Cerise

The media could not be loaded.  I have spent years with spoons, spatulas, whisks etc in a muddle in my kitchen drawer and I always find it frustrating when I needed a spoon in a hurry that I would have to leave the cooker and rummage around to find something. I decided to buy a utensil holder to store my most used utensils on the work surface next to my cooker and I was pleased to find that Le Creuset made them in a variety of colours.I'm really delighted with the colour of this utensil holder, it is a rich deep teal which perfectly matches some of the other Le Creuset teal items I have been buying recently.The jar is heavy and solid and when you fill it with utensils it feels sturdy, there is no danger of it tipping over or becoming unstable. It is large enough to hold a good selection of wooden spoons, plastic serving spoons, a couple of spatulas and a whisk.Being ceramic it is easy to keep clean - this is really important if you are going to store it next to the cooker as it will inevitably get splashes of oil and other cooking delights on it. Le Creuset has long set the standard for quality cookware, so I was really excited when I saw that this utensil jar was not out of my price range. I also liked the colour- for me, the classic 'volcanic' range is a little gaudy, but the graduated turquoise colour seemed perfect. I chose supersaver delivery and clicked BUY as soon as I could!As expected from Amazon, it was very quick to arrive. But I was presented with a box much larger than expected.. puzzled (and excited) I opened it up, and found that within the large box there was a lot of paper packaging and a smaller box in which was the jar.What is difficult to gauge from the picture here is the true size of it, it is a BIG JAR. Big enough to fit around 10 utensils in, and the stoneware is thick and shiny. It looks extremely durable and unlikely to overbalance no matter what you decide to put in it, so if you were worrying whether it can stand the test of time- don't worry, it will.The description tells you it will even withstand oven/freezer temperatures (although why you'd cook/freeze anything in a utensil jar is beyond me) so it seems pretty indestructible.I hope that this jar will last me a lifetime (i'm nineteen), the combination of simple design, beautiful colour and quality manufacture means that I can't think of a better jar to buy.Hope I was helpful!

Really happy with this . The jar is sturdy , feels good quality and is the perfect height for utensils . My previous jar was taller but I much prefer this as I can see what’s in there . Holds a good number of utensils too

These jars are brilliant. You can use it as advertised as a utensil jar, or you could actually use it to cook in.As its made out of the same materials as all the other stoneware it will act the same.Its home is right next to my cooker, jam packed with over 15 different utensils, and usually gets splashed by the odd spitting sauce or frying pan oil and can be simply cleaned by just wiping with a cloth or can be put into the dishwasher if heavily soiled.Overall the price reflects what it is, quality materials and beautiful style.This will compliment every kitchen, and with the range of different colours there's something for every colour scheme.

As with other Le Creuset products, this Utensil Jar is of good quality and the design is chic. The colour is very neutral and fits in well with my other appliances.The size is not too small, but not big enough to hold all my bits and pieces. I would've loved it if they also make a bigger one in this colour; which they didn't have when I bought this.

I must admit I have a weak spot for Le Creuset equipment. Granted, it's an expensive brand, but I have yet to be disappointed by a single Le Creuset product and if taken properly care of they will last for years, if not a lifetime. I have three of these utensil jars (in different colours), and they do perfectly what they are meant to do: large enough to hold a whole array of kitchen utensils, heavy enough not to topple over, and they simply look great in those lovely traditional Le Creuset colours. Warmly recommended!

I was a little disappointed with this item as I bought it to match the Garlic Keeper that was cream with a yellow tint. This was plain Almond, but that said it does the job perfectly and still matches my kitchen tiles.
