Quality socket set from a quality focused brand
Item arrived ahead of time. For anyone with an expensive set of alloys who have seen the damage a rushed tyre change using an impact drill and a set of unprotected sockets can do in the hands of a busy tyre mechanic, I suggest you look at these sockets. They come in a strong black plastic storage box with a good snap clip. The sockets themselves are colour coded in the most popular sizes and well machined. Each comes with a thick plastic outer over the socket and a plastic inner stop which should also protect the face of the wheel nut once inserted.I don't intend to use these with an impact driver, but with a 1/2 torque wrench mainly for rotating my wheels at home to even out tyre wear. They slid easily over my wheel nut, but were not loose on the nut and I applied a little grease over the plastic sleeve as well for good measure. The mix of these sockets with a good torque wrench means nuts turned easily and no damage to the wheel.I intend carrying this socket set with me when I get my tyres changed and always ask for my wheel nuts to be hand removed and tightened with a torque wrench. If a garage turns up its nose at this they don't get the business. Alloys are just too expensive to be damaged by a careless wheel change.I'm confident this set of Wisemann sockets will do a good job and will probably outlast me.Good price for an excellent well made product. Recommended.

WIESEMANN PRODUCTS MAY NOT ALL BE GERMAN MANUFACTURED BUT THEY ARE GOOD QUALITY - USER UPDATE
At the time of purchasing these impact sockets, I was under the impression that they were manufactured by Wiesemann in Germany. Very disappointed to discover the sockets are made in Taiwan & then sold by Wiesemann, albeit after they have conducted quality control in Breckerfeld, Germany. This explains why Wiesemann can sell their sockets 43% cheaper than HAZAT, who do manufacture them in Germany & what's more clearly state that on Amazon. Consider that Wiesemann should be upfront regarding where the products they sell are manufactured. Wiesemann have stated "We are producing our tools globally. We have different production countries including China and Germany. Our impact sockets are made in Taiwan". I have not yet opened/used these Wiesemann sockets but when I do, I will then be able to comment further regarding their quality & durability. UPDATE - I have now had an opportunity to use the 17mm impact socket of the set of 3 & it certainly does the job. I used a Makita battery impact wrench to loosen the wheel lug bolts & the impact socket certainly stood up to the task & did not damage the alloy wheels. There is no obvious sign of any cracking or burring of the impact socket. When replacing the lug bolts, I only used the impact wrench at very slow speed until the bolt just caught the wheel & then tightened the bolt further to the recommended torque setting using a torque wrench. Although I have only used one of these Wiesemann impact sockets for a short period, it seems to be of good quality, good value, fit for purpose & ample for the private user. Not sure how these sockets would withstand constant commercial garage use but I am very pleased with my purchase. Have therefore increased my star rating to 4. In summary, if you don't intend to use these impact sockets on a daily/frequent basis, then they look to be a good investment, at around half the price of other impact sockets manufactured for the trade. I now recommend these impact sockets & will certainly consider Wiesemann next time I am looking for a decent & reasonably priced tool.

As a mechanic these are great
I was expecting these to crack or wear down VERY quick, but they didn't at all. They've lasted ages, and with regular daily use they're still in excellent shape. I expect them to last a long long time. Highly recommend.

WIESEMANN Quality
I have a number of WIESEMANN tools, so decided to go for these rather than the cheaper genric offerings. I've only used the 17mm so far, but it fits the wheel nuts securely and clears the wheel surface so causes no damage.

a must for all car owners
awesome - anybody who has good quality alloys should purchase these & get the tyre fitter only to use this when they remove the alloys - the standard alloy sockets they use damage your alloys & tyre fitters don't care!!!!

Brilliant
Perfect for removing wheel nuts. Long and coated so no risk of scratching nut barrels or catching the wheel brace on your wheel face or car body.
