and I still feel their best album (Cock Robin) was their best
Unless you lived in Europe in the 1980's you probably never heard of this group, but at that time this American group was very popular, especially in France, England, and Germany, where I lived for 12 years. Some of their videos are on youtube, and I still feel their best album (Cock Robin) was their best. So, if you like this Best of album, I would recommend you get the Cock Robin album; my California niece (in university at that time) fell in love with them the first time I played this album for her. Both albums have lots of great ballads.

Stunning!
I always loved "When Your Heart is Weak", since hearing it as a teenager on the AT40. Cock Robin were totally unheard of in my home country, and hardly well know in their native USA at the time, either. 20 years on, it has been a pleasure to discover their other work over the years, and a pleasant surprise to learn they have maintained a fan base in Europe. Too bad for the rest of the world that they didn't embrace the thoughtful, eloquent style that Cock Robin brings to their music. If you loved "When Your Heart is Weak", this CD is a must.

It is such a pleasure to hear these two again, I loved them in the 80's. His voice is so unusual and so cool especially love When Your Heart is Weak, The Promise You Made.

I purchased this for 2 songs that were minor hits in the 1980s. Both songs are amazing but the album as a entire work is at best...okay!

This band should be household names
This group should've been a lot bigger than they were in the UK . The Promise You Made is a timeless Classic it has to be one if the most infectious records ever recorded. The music is mainly synth led which is what I would expect from a predominately 80s band . There are many other gems on this compilation notably Straighter Line and Worlds Apart taken from the groups third album and Just Around a The Corner from the first album . The singers combine beautifully and in total tandem through track after track . For the price this has to be one of the bargain albums of the year !! Buy it you can't go wrong
