Will of Steel with Headset (PC CD)

Played it for half hour then put it back in the box, the headphones supplied with it are worth more than the program itself, dated idea (may have been good ten years ago), poor graphics, no multiplayer, no booklet in the box, sorry but this must be the worst program I have bought for years.

I decided to get this game when the price was cut. I had heard about it and wanted to try but didn't fancy paying fortune.I like how it's played with a headset, it's very diffrent kind of gameplay. It also makes it harder to control all the units at least in the begining.My my main complaint so far is that the levels are too short, I got through 3 levels in 4 hours. Hope the next 13 levels are much more difficult. I do like the graphics. For the current price I say it's worth it.

I was just browsing new Real-time strategy ttles and found this. I wanted to cheko it out since it was cheap.The game came with a free earphones which is a nice added bonus.Although they ae not high quality they are useful.Overall the game is decent. The grafics are clear and the gamplay solid with some nice extras like special options and voice ordrering of units. I had a probelm with unit pathfinding and had to download the patch from GMX to fix it.For the price, the game is worth getting if for nothing else then to get the earphones.I hope they have some more missions planned as an addon beacuse I am already half way finished.

this game could of be great i bought this title thinking it would be a real insight into the modern war machine.but it didn't even come close and i was very disapointed with the game,now i will expain the problems i found with it.the games voice recgniation software is not well done the headset you get with it is ok for a frebie but when i tryed speaking into it to order my troops around it started to do things i didn't want to do.so i binned the headset for the mouse and keyboard controls boy was that fun.the game has no maunal to acompany it so you are there with no real idea how to play it at the begining but its down to trial and error to figure it out.the next thing i found about this game is the units pathfinding and ai was awful the enemy ai is much better than your own troops !your men and vhecicles are incapcale of moving great distances they get stuck alot, and need to be watched all the time.your units only open fire on the enemy by themselfs despite being in group and the others just watch as the unit is destroyed.in closing do not buy this as you will be heartly dissapointedi recomend buying something like blitskreig or panzer phase2if you don't already own them !

The product does not work with windows 7 not amazons fault l should have checked details myself. So cannot comment on the game as it won't load.

I have played the game for about 5 hours now. When it first started I was really impressed with the quality and detail of graphics. Usualy strategy games have average graphics at best, this game has very detailed ingame objects.The strategy part itself is also very good although I must say it's not anything completely new. The weapons you control and commands you can issue are standard which is fine with me, I guess that's just how new strategy games are. And the voice system is interesting, it lets you say your commands instead of typing or clicking, nice.

This GAME is amazing! Never before have I felt so in control... I didn't know when I pre-ordered this title that it came with a free headset, so it was a real bonus when I got my £9.99 back from PC world for taking the one back that I had already bought!!!When playing with the headset I really felt like I was in control of the Army, but not only that, I can control the camera with my voice too!!!This game is a must buy, when you zoom into the action, the level of detail on the tanks & exposions is awesome. I'm not going to write too much as I don't want to spoil it for you + I want to get back to playing it.'Left right, left right, left right, left right, left right'... my voice command to the camera!!!!Enjoy......

Ich kann die Erfahrungen die Yelanis gemacht hat (leider habe ich das Spiel bereits 2011 gekauft) nur bestätigen: Die grottige Wegfindung und sonstige Bockigkeit der Einheiten zerstört jegliche Motivation das Spiel durchzuspielen. Eine Speichermöglichkeit ist nicht vorhanden und dadurch kann man auch keine der bereits gespielten Missionen wiederholen.Die angekündigte Sprachsteuerung (Gerät liegt der imposant dicken Box bei) funktioniert auch bei mir nicht.Ich habe, im Hinblick auf den Preis und die beiden relativ positiven Rezensionen, ein mittelprächtiges Strategiespiel zu einem aktuelleren Konflikt erwartet, jedoch ein Produkt erhalten das weder das geringe Entgelt noch die Zeit wert war. Meines Ermessens waren Billigspiele wie Chain of Command: Ostfront 1943-1945 oder D-Day wesentlich besser, da sich diese halbwegs vernünftig (einmalig) durchspielen lassen ohne freilich allzu viel Eindruck zu hinterlassen.Vom Kauf dieses Spiels kann ich nur Abraten, es ist meiner Meinung nach als mangelhaft einzustufen.
