NOT BEACH FRIENDLY. We bought this for our road trip down to Florida and we love it. We fortunately did not have issues with leaking and the product was as described when delivered. It did great while we drove to and from Florida and was easy to store.Negatives.- If sand gets on the “rail system” where the bowel slides in and out, the bowel will get jammed. I saw that several 1 star reviews had issues with this after they took it to the beach, and so did we. Fortunately we were able to open the bowel and clean it out with fresh water and not have further issues with that.- additionally, the black lever within the bottle moves up and down, I suppose it’s to help when washing the bottle. However, if it’s not in the “down” position, then the stem on the cap cannot reach it, which activates the button to pour. It’s easy for us to manage this and put it back down, but IT IS NOT DISABILITY FRIENDLY/IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH DEXTERITY ISSUES.Overall, we love it; but it’s not a perfect product!

This is my second one because my husband dropped our first we had for a year just one too many times. Key note it wasn’t the first time he dropped it so the first fought the good fight but ultimately succumbed to its injuries.I love the capacity, you can take this on a nice trip and not have to worry about extra water for the pup. Love love how the bowl is attached like a drawer so easy. We fill with water and Ice, however it’s not insulated so it doesn’t stay clod long without some ice. Would love for them to make an insulated one for my posh boy who needs fresh cold water. It cleans easy as well

UPDATE: the company reached out and we received a new bottle. We went camping and it worked great while we were hiking and around the camp site. We were able to compare the new bottle and leaky one side by side. In our original bottle the straw always compressed the drain/release to fill the bowl regardless of how we fiddled with the straw and release mechanism. I will still be leaving off a star as our first product did leak due to poor/faulty construction and I will therefore be leaving the original review (below). However, we are very happy with our new bottle. Does it meet our needs? Yes. Does it work as advertised? Yes. Are there better products out there? Maybe. But it is perfect for our household.Original: This product does not fully do as advertised. We received our dog bottle/bowl and followed the instructions for first time use. We went hiking with our dogs and noticed the bottom of the bottle was leaking. We thought it was just residual water from filling up. We continued our hike and decided to give the dogs some water. Only to find the catch/bowl full. We thought the other person caused the bowl to fill up and shrugged it off, continuing our hike. When we took our next break we again noticed that the catch was full. We thought that we had set it up incorrectly. We decided to cut our hike shorter and return home given our water issues. We have been on more hikes since our first use and every time we use the bottle, it automatically fills the catch. Does this product work? Kinda. Does it hold water? Yes. Does it hold water effectively? No. Are there better products out there? Definitely.

Our canine companions thoroughly enjoy this product; it's leakproof, maintains a consistently cool temperature, and the addition of ice enhances its utility for travel.

Love this for travel and adventures! Doesn't leak when riding in the car and holds a good amount of water for an all day adventure!

The media could not be loaded. There is always a butt with my reviews. I've never found anything that was absolutely perfect. The only thing that I dislike about this item is that the tray that comes out for the water is a little bit flimsy. It feels like it's loose and it might eventually fall off. That's it. I don't know where the leak comes from. But it does also occasionally leak, but that's not a huge issue To me because I constantly carry towels as well. It's great for little dogs. It's great for big dogs, specifically great for bigger dogs. It has a convenient button that allows the water to pour freely. As you press down on it, the tray is somewhat easy to pull out. It holds the amount of water that it claims it holds, and it's really nice that the water is separated in the bottom from the top, so no debris gets in the fresh water. Aside from the fact that the tray seems a little bit flimsy. In my opinion, everything else is perfect on this item. I would highly recommend it for any outdoorsy person with dogs!

Bought this for my dog because we go hiking, kayaking, and hang on the beach often. I like that the bowl is integrated, the idea makes sense and should make fresh, clean water regularly available for your favorite furry friend. I filled mine up, let my dog drink from it in the house to get her acquainted with it, and then we took it with us on a beach trip. Started out awesome, pulled out the bowl, filled it, hot dog was happy. Rinsed the bottle off and pushed the bowl back in, and it will NOT come out. I figured a grain of sand may have jammed it up or something, but it jammed first use and I am no longer able to use it. I have washed it, pulled, pried, tapped, wedged; the bowl will not come out. The bottle itself is cheaply made and upon further inspection, you'll notice it is very cheap construction. I get it, just a dog bottle, but the price isn't that cheap for what you get, and I'd expect it to Last more than one use at the beach. I cannot find any sign of sand being the cause, and the whole thing feels like it will break if I try to force anything. Enough rambling on my part. Awesome idea, maybe I got a defective one and the rest are awesome? Don't know, but mine is 1 star worthy
