Followed the instructions carefully, was a huge success. Got a 5in tattoo on the back of my neck and couldn’t feel anything. However, it only lasts enough for such a sized tattoo. We did have some delay as placing the stencil took a few tries, so this might have wasted some of the time it was effective, but I did feel the last couple minutes of the tattoo. If I knew we would be messing w the stencil for so long, I woulda applied the cream in my car before heading into the shop. I waited too long before the tattooing actually started. This probably would not work for anything bigger than 5in (with heavy detail).

I used this for a full chest piece. I followed the directions and let it sit for at least 45 minutes and covered it in Saran Wrap before I went to my appointment. The first three hours I could not feel a thing. There was no smell to the cream, it didn’t tingle like I thought it would like icy hot maybe. when my Artists started to tattoo I had to ask him if he was even doing anything because I couldn’t feel the needle at all. It lasted right around the three hour mark and then I could feel it start to wear off. I was able to get through a 7 hour session with ease using this. I will never get another tattoo without it!!!!

I got this for my first blood draw in almost 30 years, not a tattoo, due to a horrible fear of needles. I put it on about an hour before the appointment. I didn't feel like it was working, but when I went to wipe it off, I realized I couldn't feel anything. I didn't feel the needle going in. Before I even realized the tech had started, she was saying she was pulling the needle out. It worked amazingly well! I applied it around 9:00am and I began regaining feeling in the area around 6:00pm, so it lasted longer than any tattoo session should take. The tube is really small (about half the size of a travel tube of toothpaste), so and the directions say to apply liberally, so if you were using it for a large tattoo, you may need multiple tubes, which could become very expensive given the price point. But for my purposes, it worked amazingly well.

I was excited to try this. I followed directions exactly. I've gotten several tatts from the same artist and when I showed up with he plastic wrap on he was not pleased. He asked if I used a numbing cream and when I said yes, he explained why it wasn't a good idea. He said that the skin tightens and it is harder for the ink to get under the skin without getting irritated. He also said healing can take longer. Since this was a small tattoo we agreed to proceed but he said if it was any larger or more detailed he would not do it if I had used the cream. When he began I was surprised that it felt like all my other tatts - painful. He said my skin was "angry" immediately. I bled more than I have ever before. The entire outline of my tattoo looks like a blood blister. I wish I had asked my artist first and not used this cream. I hope my tattoo heals well because the day after it looks awful.

I purchased this so I could knock my full sleeve out in two sessions because I drive 2.5 hours for my tat. I applied this cream and covered my arm with plastic wrap at 10am. My artist washed it off at noon then started my tattoo about 12:30 and finished the line work two hours later. I was numb the entire time(not sure when it wore off) with the exception of a couple spots that must’ve rubbed off. 10/10 recommend this lotion and I’ll be using it every time I get a large tattoo. First order I got was busted up, I had to re-order. They should really package better for shipping. This was my first experience using a numbing cream to get tattooed. I did a patch test a couple of days before my scheduled tattoo appointment. I left it on for about a hour and a half before I cleaned it off. That patch of skin stayed numb for at least 4 hours. I went to sleep at the 4 hour mark so I’m not sure how much longer it lasted after that but when I woke up the next morning everything was back to normal.The day of my appointment I covered the area I was getting tattooed in a thick layer of this stuff and wrapped it in seran wrap. I had a scheduled 4 hour session to finish a piece on my inner forearm. My artist removed the seran wrap but left the cream on while setting up so in total before cleaning it off I had it on for about an hour and 45 minutes. The area was totally numb and the first hour was a breeze. The numbness started to wear off in patches after that first hour though. Some small areas were still numb at the end of the 4 hour mark but it was very few and far between.I did a lot of research, I know some people have suggested numbing cream makes things more painful once it wears off. This was not my experience at all. I had work done in the same area about 6 weeks prior without any numbing cream and the pain (once the cream wore off) was the same.This is the product that was recommended by my tattoo artist specifically so that was the main reason I chose this one. All in all, I’d definitely use it again. I do wish it lasted through the full session but regardless I still feel like it made the process easier not having to deal with the pain through the entire 4 hours and that to me was worth it.

This is my 4th tube but first time buying from Amazon I usually buy direct from Painless tattoo. When it arrived the label on the tube was different and I felt it was bs but today, surprisingly, it’s working PERFECTLY ! It’s the exact same! I’mLiterally about to nap until my knee tattoo is finished!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely love this numbing ! I was able to finish my entire sleeve (Full sleeve) without any pain. I do have a high pain tolerance, but some areas of my body I can’t take the pain (upper arm, shoulder and bicep area). I will definitely purchase again to finish my half sleeve on my leg !
