I ordered 2 of these to have stock on hand. When the 1st one failed to generate spark, after full testing of the fireplace wires and valve, the circuitry will sense the pilot flame if lit manually and will order mainburner operation, but no spark so it's useless. I bench tested both and neither one generated spark. I spent 4x the money to get one from Hearthnhome manufacturer and worked the 1st try. Don't waste the money. These dont seem to be tested.

I am a fireplace technician and installer for over 10 years. I rotate my parts and product. I purchased over 20 of these. I am 3 days past the return date. I needed one at a job last night, none of them worked! Not a single one of the over 20 are good. This is not right! Why are you still selling this? I now see the other reviews, but apparently too late. So there is absolutely zero quality control???

I bought ten of these as I am a fireplace technician. None of the ten were any good. I use these on a regular basis.

No CSA, UL, ETL mark is shown, meaning not safety standards are certified or approved.It might be a dangerous concern for such a gas fireplace device or parts. They should be code compliance tested before sales to ensure no gas leak or explosion danger.
