You need to use this with skill and caution to make it effective.
I was very cautious about this having read a lot of mixed reviews about products like this and how easily they can bruise, or be totally ineffective. For me, this has been fantastic, and I have some experience/advice to share on some common issues:Bruising: if you know you bruise easily (think about how easy it is for someone to give you a hickey - if it’s easy, then your might bruise easily) then expect some bruising. This one comes with a soft silicon tipped nozzle which is less abrasive and allows for softer suction, so this is a good one to try the first time with in case you are worried about bruising.Suction not bringing dirt/blackheads out: it needs a few goes to loosen up. What came out on my second go, a few days after the first, was phenomenal. After my first go, my skin was aggravated, blotchy, and bumpy. The next morning, I had a few small white heads appear - showing it had brought a bit of deeper dirt to the surface. On my second go, the nozzle got out a lot of dirt, visibly. Very satisfying. My pores look to have shrunk in certain areas. I feel that after a few weeks of using, my skin will be much clearer and my pores much smaller. My partner faired even better, the large pores on his nose were unblocked on first go, and immediately got a lot smaller. To make the most of this device, use sensibly and with care for your skin. Open your pores first by having a Hot shower or washing your face with warm/hot flannel and water. Keep the nozzle moving across your skin so it doesn’t linger and bruise. Remember that it is a process which takes longer than simply one one-off use, so don’t feel disappointed if it is a bit meh the first time, and don’t feel like you have to be aggressive with it and get specific problem areas sorted out all in one go. Be zen with it, and it will deliver.Very happy I got this - I feel it’s much more effective than messing around with this blackhead strips and other faffy skin products.

Effective & functional
This blackhead remover is a good buy. It’s functional and effective at removing clogged pores and decent for its price point. Instructions should be thoroughly read beforehand for safety. Err on the side of caution when using the suction strengths. I’ve only used the lowest one and some slight bruising still occurred, even though I moved the tool around the skin. Only use when pours are open, like after steaming the face or after a hot shower. Overall a good tool to have in the bathroom cupboard.

WARNING, GROSS PICTURES IN THIS REVIEW
Holy sebaceous filaments, batman! This thing is INCREDIBLE!Comes well packaged, with several different heads, filters, and a USB charging cable. This device has really powerful suction. I first tried it on the lowest setting to get used to the sensation, then turned it up fully and went to town on my face. You can actually see your skin being pulled slightly into the nozzle, such is the force of the vacuum. Blackheads, whiteheads, blocked pores and excess sebum don't stand a chance! Despite the high level of suction, using the machine is completely painless, which for me is essential.I placed this over one particularly nasty spot and it sucked out the core in a flash! So much better that squeezing! Totally painless and just as satisfying. The pictures I have included are from my first time using the gadget, mainly focusing on my T zone, where I get oily. I was both disgusted and delighted about how much grossness I pulled out of my skin!I recommend this to anyone who wants to really deep clean their skin. It's fantastic!I found that it works best if you use this soon after showering or bathing as this will open your pores, making it easier for the vacuum to suck out the contents. When you are using the handheld, do not keep it on the same area of skin for more than a couple of seconds. I gave myself a hickey on my chin by not following the instructions and leaving it in place too long. Very attractive! When you have finished, cleanse your face, tone to tighten the pores, and use a nice moisturiser. Also be sure to wash the nozzle to prevent a buildup of bacteria. This can make the skin look a bit red after using, so it is best not to use immediately prior to a hot date. A cold flannel helps reduce this issue quickly, though it does go away on its own.Apologies if I've put anyone off their food with my pictures, but I really wanted to show what this contraption can do!

Bruise maker
Wife asked me to get this for her. It arrived the next day - impressed. But this is not an impressive device. The instructions, such as they are, say “enjoy healthy and beautiful life” that’s a high bar to set for a blackhead remover. The rest of the instructions were unclear and unhelpful. Warns you to ensure that the filter sponge is properly installed but no word on how, where or what that is.The device has three strengths. She started slow. Keep moving ... don’t stay on one spot for more than two seconds ... then it attached itself to the skin on the upper cheekbone in its less than one second pass. What to do? Wrench it off or turn it off? Turned it off but unfortunately the only way to turn it off is to scroll through the two increasingly intense suction modes. Now she has a beautifully red ‘love bite’ like bruise by the eye. This does not bode well for the healthy and beautiful life we were promised. Does it remove blackheads, though? No, no it does not. It may be useful for removing splinters. It’s not worth keeping it for that rare eventuality. Packed up, back in its box, ready to return. And she’s going back to using the pore clearing strips from ‘Home & Bargain’ which cost about a quid but actually work.
