Helps me with my a bit with my posture which I believe is the source of my lower back pain. I'm 150ish pounds (5ft 7) and purchase the medium. I typically sit at a desk all day and my body position tends to be all over the place but this kinda forces me to keep my self in a better position.

Works as intended. Will update later if there are any issues.

I have lower back pain and have used several back braces before, this ORTONYX Back Brace for Lower Back Pain, Back Support Belt for Women & Men, Breathable Lower Bac/m brace is one of the good ones I have ever used. What’s important to me is that It provides really good support and at the same time is breathable so It doesn’t cause undesirable sweating like some of the neoprene back braces do.The Velcro closure is strong enough to hold the brace in its place and does not come off while moving and the adjustable straps allow me to adjust pressure according my needs and depending on the amount of pain. I checked the size and my size was closer the higher end so I ordered the next size up and I am glad I did, it still works and gives me more flexibility to adjust pressure to a greater degree.I love this back brace, it reduces the pain of my lower back, provides good support and does not cause extra sweating. I highly recommend it

I am small and thin (waist 27.5”, hips 37”); ordered XS/M and it’s perfect for me.Well-constructed, from sturdy-looking materials. Easy to adjust; additional straps help fine-tune fit.Binding is somewhat stiff, and in some spots, scratchy and irritating (i wear back braces UNDER my clothes, next to my skin). I placed a flannel cloth (same dimensions as back brace) on the side that faces my body before putting it on. With that addition, is very comfortable. Easy to forget I am wearing a support.Instructions for wearing and adjusting are minimal and mostly useless. No illustrations. Written for multiple models, so details are rather vague. The most useful info is washing instructions: Hand wash 30°C; do not iron.Can remove 2 metal stays (rods in back) and gently bend to fit your back curves.Best way to determine which side of brace is top is to look at pockets for metal stays. There is an opening to slide the stays out before washing. This is a wonderful back brace on all counts. It is made of a rather thick and luxurious material that makes it seem like a piece of clothing rather than a medical apparatus. This also may make it a little heavier than other back braces. I ordered the size recommended for my waist size on their Amazon page and it fit with a generous amount of overlap, which I like. Better a foot too long than an inch too short. The straps on either side go beyond the middle of the belt in back, but they do not interfere with each other. The two strands of one side strap are both in the middle of the belt and the two of the other side strap are one near the top and one near the bottom. Somebody was thinking and did things right. There is also a large square pad that you can Velcro in at the back of the belt if you want more pressure on your spine. I usually don't use the pads that come with back braces, because they usually press into my back too much. This pad is large enough that it distributes the added pressure over a larger area and I may find it desirable on occasion. And something subtle but important: the straps are made of the same material as the belt and the Velcro of the ends of the belt and the ends of the straps can attach to any part of the belt or straps. This solves a problem I have had with other belts where I wanted to pull the straps to overlap with each other, but I couldn't, because the straps were made of a material that the Velcro end would not stick to. Well designed and well built.

I am returning it. It was too heavy.
