Terrible product
*UPDATE* Monitor now completely broken. No support from Amazon or maker. Don't buy!We bought this for the monitor and didn't want to use our phones. The monitor started well but became dodgy after a few months. Battery life was terrible and eventually started dropping signal until it stopped working entirely. Another issue with this product is the clicking around that the monitor keeps making when the screen switched from dark to light mode. It seems to get stuck clicking from dark to light - this clicking has woken the baby at times. It's a terrible product. No return past 30 days and no repair policy.Recommend that you didn't buy this one!

Talk back feature distinguished by its clear and lifelike quality.
Upon unboxing, I was pleased to find that the Netvue Peekababy camera exuded robustness and displayed a commendable level of quality. Although the setup instructions were included, I found the process intuitive and straightforward, skipping the need to consult the provided guidelines. Turning on the monitor and connecting it to the camera proved to be self-explanatory and remarkably easy. For those opting to use the camera with their phone in addition to the provided monitor, the setup follows a familiar pattern. Install the Netvue App, select your purchased product, and scan the QR code beneath the camera. "Show" the subsequent QR code back to the camera to initiate pairing with the Wi-Fi network, followed by entering your password. Despite previous Wi-Fi connectivity challenges due to the dual-band setup, this time, the pairing process was swift and trouble-free.The video and audio quality met my expectations, delivering clarity with minimal delay, both in well-lit and dark conditions (thanks to the infrared feature). The microphone captured sound crisply, and a talkback function was available for comforting or communicating with the baby.Exploring its capabilities, the monitor provided a setup feature for convenient alerts on feeding, temperature, and humidity. Additionally, it offered the option of playing preinstalled lullabies, adding to its practicality. The standout feature was the voice control/talk back, distinguished by its clear and lifelike quality, steering clear of the robotic tones often found in rival products.Thrilled with my purchase, the Netvue Peekababy Baby Monitor proved to be a game-changer for us as parents. The 5'' LCD screen allowed us to monitor our baby seamlessly whether in the next room, or through various devices such as phones, tablets, or even Alexa. Its pocket-sized design was a brilliant touch, and the long-distance connection with automatic reminders provided an additional layer of peace of mind. The mounting options proved to be exactly what we needed, with effortless installation near the crib, although it can be wall mounted or simply left on a table. Safety considerations were addressed with compliance to baby safety standards and secure cable management. The Netvue Peekababy's ability to keep us informed with instant notifications for motion or crying, 2-way talk, feeding reminders, and temperature and humidity monitoring made it feel like having a helpful companion. The most impressive aspect for me was the outstanding video quality, enabling me to capture every detail in 1080P HD, even in low light using the infrared mode. The voice-activated mode and continuous audio monitoring were crucial, guaranteeing that I stayed tuned in, even when the screen was off. To top it all off, the inclusion of preinstalled lullabies for soothing melodies adds an extra layer of delight to the monitor's features. Sharing these precious moments with family members through the NETVUE app was the perfect finishing touch. To sum up, the Peekababy Baby Monitor has significantly simplified the monitoring our baby and is a valuable asset to stress-free parenting for me. However, it's important to note that the monitor's battery performance falls short, and the included charging lead is frustratingly short, especially when the battery is low and you're trying to use it. Despite these small drawbacks, it has become an essential tool in our parenting journey.

Good monitor but overpriced (+ some annoying features)
Updated - monitor charging is unreliable (stops charging intermittently when plugged in) so have returned it.Pros:- flexible camera and pole system is great- quality of feed to monitor is good (much better than our previous Hello Baby monitor)- you can set custom alarms that go off if temperature or humity goes above or below user defined limits- the mic picks up baby sounds well and doesn't feed white noise through too much (or less than Hello Baby)- app works well enoughCons:- the monitor battery doesn't seem great at all- you can't change the volume without going into the menu system - this is very annoying during the night - the monitor has up and down (and left and right) buttons, so it seems like a huge miss not to give these any functionality without going into the menu- it only comes with one plug (for the camera) and the world's shortest charging lead for the monitor - it's so short, it's useless during the night. We had to use phone chargers and buy a new one (not what I'd expect from such an expensive monitor).- the monitor kick-stand is flimsy and feels like it will break.- does not save the time/date (resets after every switch off)Overall, it's a decent enough monitor, but lacking some pretty vasic functionality, with poor battery life and skimping on plug/charging leads - not good enough for the price imo.

DO NOT BUY
I’m not one to leave a review EVER, however I feel like I’ve got to with this one as a warning. Do not purchase this item extremely overpriced as it never ever works. Monitor constantly switches off and has to always be connected to the mains. The phone app always says device offline and rarely works. You can’t connect the phone and monitor at the same time. The monitor never connects and just shows a blue screen don’t even bother setting the time or date or any settings for that matter as it has a mind of its own and likes to just change itself all the time! Absolutely dissapointed have now got to purchase another monitor as this one doesn’t work!!
