Surprisingly Effective!
I'll admit that I went into this pretty skeptical of the ice maker, both because of the low price and the lesser-known manufacturer. A family member had a similar countertop ice maker and spoke very highly of it, and I got tired of being the only person in my office to keep refilling the ice trays in the freezer, so I invested in one to automate the process.Initially, I was very let down. It only made 4-5 pieces of ice at a time, and they were misshapen and thin. Over a month or so, it started producing even less ice, until it eventually stopped altogether. I'm assuming a refrigerant leak, but before it completely conked out, I reached out to the manufacturer for assistance. After a quick back and forth they sent me a brand new one. I've had it for a month or so, and I'm so impressed by this one that I felt I owed them a review. Now that I have one that functions properly, WOW. 12 ice cube trays being rotated on a daily basis weren't enough to keep up with my coworkers, but this thing spits out ice so fast we'll fill our entire bin in a few hours, even with people actively using it. It's only on for three days a week; if we left it on in perpetuity, we'd be able to swim in all the ice it produces, Scrooge McDuck-style.I don't review products all that often, but both their response to my support request with the first one and the resulting product were fantastic, and I can't recommend this one enough.

Call my husband, the ice King!
Wow! My husband is a little bit particular about making ice. This thing has saved him so much time! It's super easy to use and convenient. It does have to be stored in a particular temperature so we cannot keep it in the garage. However, it doesn't take up a ton of counter space, it's about the size of an air fryer. The ice comes out slightly watery but he puts it into a bag and into the freezer. After a while he drops the bag a few times and dumps it into the bucket so they don't stick together. It's super super convenient!

Keep the ice in a ziplock bag so you can easily break them apart when you need to take some out.
I LOVE this ice maker. I live in a rental with just a basic fridge/freezer unit so no built in ice maker, and the small freezer is always packed with barely room to keep an ice bin, and def no room to freeze ice in trays. The way this works is that the ice bullets are formed on metal rods which are the only part of the unit that is chilled to freeze the water, therefore This ice maker does not have a freezer compartment that will keep the finished ice bullets frozen so you will heed to immediately transfer the ice to your freezer as soon as the collection bin is full. The first time I made enough ice to fill my ice bin in my freezer, I realized that the ice bullets tend to have a melted outer layer so that once in the ice bin, they will all freeze into a block of ice bullets that need to be broken apart. I solved this problem by putting the ice bullets into a ziplock bag which I keep in my freezer ice bin. This allows me to easily break up the ice bullets every time I need to retrieve ice from my stash, as well as keeps the ice fresh by not adsorbing odors and also keeps it from sublimating away while in frozen storage. A gallon sized bag was not big enough to maximize the available storage space in my ice bin so I got the 2.5 gal size and those generously line my bin and allow me to store my ice bin’s maximum capacity of ice. When I want ice I just pull the bag out of the bin, drop it onto the counter a few times to break them apart, just like you have to do with a purchased bag of ice. After getting the ice I need out, I just put the bag of ice back in the freezer ice bin, squish out the air and seal the bag & stick it back in the freezer. Easy and fast. The water reservoir of the ice maker holds 2 liters and it just so happens that that amount of water makes the exact amount of ice bullets to completely fill up my freezer ice bin to max capacity so I am very happy with it. A small freezer compartment to collect the ice in as it is made would have rated it 5 stars, but the simpler design without it still works well for my needs and is a much more affordable price than a unit with such a freezer collection space, so a solid 4 stars for a useful unit that will require some personal intervention to transfer the ice into freezer storage as it is made.I do wish that it had an audio alert for the full bin indicator in addition to the red indicator light, so that I could get the ice into the freezer immediately, but since the unit is small, portable and does not need to be hooked up to a water line, I just placed it where I can see it from my desk chair and set an alarm on my phone to start looking at the indicator lights after 50-55 minutes and that is working very well for me.

Exactly what I wanted.
I needed an ice machine as I was spending $12 on ice weekly. This gem will pay for itself in a couple months.Operationally, you fill the unit with about a gallon of water and in about 3-4 hours you have a large mixing bowl full of ice. I pick a day when I am home for that time as you have to clear the ice from the tray before it melts. I typically clear every hour which is probably the absolute limit as after that it stops making ice until the tray is cleared. For me and the level of ice usage, two gallons of water would get me through about a week and a half. The unit is easy to clean, I just mist a mild soap in the unit and use my kitchen sink hose to hose it out. There is a drain plug at the bottom of the unit which allows excess water to drain. The ice is not a hard crunching ice. It chews easily. I use it primarily for making breakfast smoothies and the ice blends smoothly without leaving chunks. Also there is no residue in the taste. It just taste like water (frozen).

Quick & Easy
This machine worked like a charm and was very easy to use. We waited a day after receiving it to make sure it stood upright for a day before turning it on. It was exactly what we needed since our refrigerator’s ice maker sprung a leak and was easier to turn off than to fix.
