The Ultimate GPhC Registration Assessment Exam Guide

The Usage:I bought this book awhile ago. I used it to prepare for my pre-registration examination.The Pros:It contains the GPhC examination syllabus, question structure, the MHRA ADRs; pre-registration learning techniques, tips and social skills, revision timetable; and responding to symptoms. It also includes BNF breakdown, Drug Tariff, MEP guide, and PIL; particular patients, e.g. pregnancy, geriatrics, paediatrics; interactions; open and closed books’, pharmaceutical calculations’ MCQs; locum checklist, many questions with detailed feedback.The Cons:It contains some obvious typographical errors, incorrect answers, and some missing, outdated, and irrelevant contents.In Conclusion:Overall, an average book but recommended for revision.

The first half is ok for checking knowledge of the curriculum. The calculation questions are riddled with errors and as I purchased it mainly for these questions, I would say it is a waste of money.

The book has a lot of useful questions and bits and pieces here and there. However it cannot be used as a sole base of revision and also contains some typos and wrong answers in the calculations. (I have double checked with tutors and other pharmacists). I do recommend the book but would advise people to double check certain things themselves using other references. Good LUCK!

The book is very userfriendly and has some good information. However alot of the text is poorly written and the book contains numerous mistakes in the answers which makes you question the rest of the content. In addition, some of the information is out of date and no longer relevant.

Very detailed, covers every aspect. Has PLENTY of questions to practice with.

This book is great whether you have forgotten your pharmacy knowledge or want to recap on the knowledge you have gained over the years,this book bridges that gap. Excellentooo!

Had a few useful tips but all in all not brilliant. Some very obvious typos and missing information in it. Although does have a lot of practice questions.
