I am not really happy with this item, nor am I completely unhappy. It's OK, but no better than OK.I found it cumbersome to position because it has only a single ball that controls the position of the vice. The surface of the ball is rough and movement is very sluggish. The vice itself has a twisting screw that tightens the vice, as is true with most vices. The screw is made of the same material as the ball, so its movements are also sluggish Both the ball and the tightening screw would benefit from a higher quality metal.And finally, the vice heads have a rubber covering that is (IMHO) too soft, so it doesn't clamp things very well. The rubber heads can be removed, but then it's metal-on-metal.So my bottom line on this is OK, but no better than just... OK

A solid, sturdy mini vise!
This is the coolest little vice! I'm a sewing machine repair tech and I have this clamped onto to a plastic 6 ft folding table and it stays put! The articulation is a great idea too, it has made my job easier to sand burrs down off plates. I don't know how i lived without it!
