just installed the MAIKER Upgrade JL Metal Gear Shift Storage Box in my Jeep, and it’s a total game changer. For starters, this sounds petty, but the double sided tape is very difficult to get the backing off of. The unit itself is a very tight fit, you have to slide the bolts all the way to the rear most part of the cutout for the lower bolts in order to get the top bolts to line up. You will have to wedge something behind the side baskets to hold it in place to put the top bolt in and get it started. The holes in the basket do not line up on the lower bolts, so going from the side does not work well, I had to use a ratchet hex head and hit it from an angle to tighten it. Overall though once it is fully installed it looks great. I am worried about the contact points scratching the interior with regular use, time will tell.

Personally, we like to have somewhere to clip our holsters for our pew pews. That’s difficult to find something that is sturdy and stable enough! These though, we don’t have a problem with. We clip one on each end of the middle compartment, mine on one, his on the other, and then the side compartments are for whatever we need. We also still have plenty of storage space in the middle after! Also, love how easy it was to install these!

Considering the bigger name Jeep parts companies are selling a similar product for $180, this one can’t be beaten for $35. The instructions weren’t great, but it is nice and solid and comes with rubber isolators to reduce noise.

Solid fit. No instructions were included in my box but the products online pictures made sense. Don't tighten the tray screws until you have the side screws started and in place. All the holes in the side and none alighn with the side screws so you can use a screwdriver and allen bit. That would have made the install much easier. Overall it's decent and looks good. Giving it a 3 overall since their design made installing a pain.

I may add photos later, but the small screws were not long enough to bite, so had to dig up a pair of longer screws. Fit was loose and the middle piece didn’t fit, so even after bending, I couldn’t get the bigger screws in place. An added bonus was that the American flag design doesn’t allow the screwdriver work that showed in the video.After wrestling with it for over an hour, I dremeled the boxes so I could get the screw holes to match up. Another 1/2 hour I ditched the middle piece altogether and screwed the boxes in place. Yay…The boxes were what I wanted, so in the end, it’s done.Whoever designed this should be fired. They obviously never tested it. Just need somewhere to put the gun, walker and phone, so I didn’t want to return them.Super annoying. Maybe they don’t have jeeps in Tibet or wherever these things were made. 1 star for the American flag design, which is what I wanted.

It shows a water bottle in the picture but you will not get a water bottle to fit in there. Overall good product

The bolts aren’t long enough to bite so I had to bend the holes to get a deeper angle. Also when you’re installing it, there’s no access point to reach the bolt. It’s very difficult. Also no tools were provided. Very poorly made and designed. I would never buy this again
