It does all the things you want a boning knife to do; flying through meats with ease & grace, severing joints, cleaning all the meat off a bone - and it's very well made for the price.The handle is ergonomic and comfortable, enclosing a full tang blade that is flexible, perfectly shaped & sharp as a razor straight out of the box - speaking of, the box it comes in is pretty nice, something you could keep instead of the cheapest possible cardboard enclosure. Feels good in the hand with a weight bias towards the handle. Nice chunky bolster to tuck your index finger behind.I'm able to break down my Costco rotisserie chickens faster than ever so I can snarf up the scraps like a goblin while it's still nice and hot, saving all the bones to make stock later.Jokes aside, this really is a no-brainer for the $20 asking price.

Good rugged looking and feeling knife. The blade isn't quite as flexible as some but if you want a handsome knife this is the one!

Seems sturdy. Looks attractive. Is sharp, but not as sharp as expected. When used to butterfly chicken breast it cut very well, but testing it by slicing tomato, took several tries.In summary, for the price is a decent knife.

Came in a really nice box that can be used to store it in. I used it to debone some chicken thighs and was really happy with how sharp it is. Fits my hand nicely. Hefty feel, not flimsy. I think I would also like to have another one with a shorter blade.

I needed a new bread knife to cut my home madesourdough loaves. The combination of chewy crust and tender crumb is a challenge for any knife. I am SO HAPPY with the Shanzu bread knife. It slices clean, with no squishing, or tearing.
