Initial impressions
My pre-use assessment: Design layout- 5stars, Readability keys and screen- 5stars, Tactile feel of keys- 5stars, Gen. impression- 5stars. Best provider for this phone (in CT) is T-Mobile.Poss. downsides: the rear cover needs to be carefully pried loose from bottom slot. The little pegs which hold it in place will pop-up as you lift the sides slowly. One other thing to note: the power adapter cord and its base-socket are not very sturdy--plug has to be inserted carefully to avoid cracking the connector. This is in contrast to the seemingly sturdy build of the phone. The 'user-pamphlet' is extremely limited in operational content. Re: the upgraded battery, if left off the charging cradle, it will gradually discharge over ~12days, even if the phone is not used. I don't know whether this is typical for cellphones (?).**NOTE** If you want to use standard US date format, you'll have to select this in Settings.Default setting is Day/Month/Year.This is the perfect phone design for me. I don't want a smartphone.Just tried the T-Mobile nanoSIM card and all's well. Finally, I want to note that the marketer of the Artfone line "SZ CoolcellTechnology"was exceptionally courteous in my one contact with them.

Worked as should
Phone worked good. But my husband with dementia still couldn’t use it. He always was locking it up or shutting it off. I programmed my number in as m1 and he couldn’t remember. Not phones fault. But to hard for him to use.

Will not hold a charge at all
The phone I received worked perfectly well when sitting on the charging base. But as soon as it was removed from the base the phone would die. I tried contacting the seller willing to exchange the phone for one that worked, but never heard back from anyone. I finally had to get my money refunded through Amazon customer service instead.

It works with T-Mobile
Both this phone as a replacement for my wife, who cannot handle Android or anything more complicated than numbers. Her old one started to run out of battery. This phone worked immediately with T-Mobile after placing in the SIM card. The phone is significantly larger than its predecessor was which is a plus. Unfortunately the cover is entirely made of cheap plastic. Taking the cover off took a bit of prying, it did not separate easily. After placing the larger than previous model battery into it, it was no longer a perfect alignment between top and bottom halves. At least it is supposedly made in Germany.

Too hard to use!
It was too difficult for my father to use. I had to end up ordering a different phone.

No nano card
The phone itself is a perfect size phone for an elderly person. My first phone didn’t have the Nano card so I sent it back and ordered another one. Unfortunately, it too came without a Nano card. Needless to say, I won’t be buying another one. Very disappointed!
