Great peace of mind. Smell isn't bad.... revised- snake in the pool 😆
Update: a week after sprinkling around my pool, this little guy was found in the pool. So one of two things happened; either he came in from the side of the yard that I didn't treat, but the part by the pool that I did treat, and retreated, causing him to fall into the pool, or the product didn't work... either way, he's a good snake to have around, so I let him go nearby. In 15 years, there's never been a snake in this house (other than a pet), or in the yard. This spring a baby rattler made its way into the kitchen somehow, then the next day there was a gopher snake in the back yard. Gopher snakes are fine, but I prefer them not be around where my kids are playing. There's a good chance of not seeing another snake for another 15 years, but This snake repellent is great for peace of mind, if nothing else. Some comments mentioned the smell being really strong or really bad. It was a little strong the first day, but it faded quickly and it wasn't an unpleasant smell.

This product saved me!
Saw a nightmarishly huge black racer snake hanging around in bush just outside our caged lanai for a couple of days. April in FL/not unusual to see them as soon as weather gets warm. But... Never had one "hang out". Usually you just catch glimpse of one passing through the backyard on rare occasions. Then to our horror, one day we saw him go up under our house (which the bush he liked visit was next to). No idea what was up under the house (I've never looked before), but sure as heck wasn't going to look now!Was in a total panic. Immediately googled for "snake killer" and didn't realize there wasn't such a thing (other than a sharp hoe and a lot of guts!).So... The other options are : They have some sort of metal trap (but they looked complicated). Then they have jumbo sized sticky traps (but you might catch other things you don't intend on catching, like birds or rodents or some creature of the night that you never want to meet up with with!). Plus... What will I do with a huge snake (or anything else for that matter) stuck on a huge sticky trap!?! Didn't want to think about it.Then...discovered "snake repellent". At this point my acid reflux was in full gear so I figured I'd try repellent. If this didn't work... Would have to call a professional.Long story longer...Purchased this product and sprinkled a generous amount around the area.Since I couldn't sit watching for him to come out from under house all day, I used an old cellphone gathering dust and downloaded the"Alfred Camera" app to monitor & record any activity. Alfred Camera no longer free to use... but in an emergency such as this, I was willing to pay the small monthly fee so I could monitor (and cancel later when snake crisis was over).Snake came out from under house an hour later after application (I'm watching the video rewind of this via Alfred App freaking out and popping Gaviscon like candy). He came out, sniffed around the ground and air... And then sped off like lightning into the neighbors yard! Didn't hang out in bush nor return to try to go back up under house (per monitoring for 2 additional days using Alfred Cam).Felt reasonably safe enough to go outside and investigate under the house after 2 days of "all clear" video monitoring. No way was I going to stick my face to the ground and peer up under there though! Used the old cellphone (while still using Alfred App) to provide live feed of what was under the house by placing the phone on end of a hoe... And slowly moved the hoe along the underside. Ended up being nothing under there thankfully! Just a ledge of concrete with nowhere else to go. Plugged up the area nonetheless.So... This saved product saved me!!!I don't know why it works well for some/not for others (per reviews). But all I can say is to give it a try.It says "no stink formula" since many snake repellents "stink" like sulfer/rotten eggs or worse I guess. This doesn't mean it's scent free though. This product DOES have scent. The scent is like strong flowers (gardenia maybe?). It's not bad... But quite noticeable.Product says it lasts 30 days when applied liberally, but may need to reapply if you get heavy rain. I'd reapply when the scent would wear off just to be safe. Depending on weather, that could be anywhere from a week to a month though.Best of luck!Update a year later (April 2025):This stuff worked the entire spring season when snakes were highly active outside. Never had an issue with snakes coming along our outdoor perimeter of lanai again. I don't need to use this all summer long... Just during spring due to high activity/mating season. Won't be without it now!! Spring is here and I just spotted a huge snake passing by in the backyard...so bought more of the product to start sprinkling this around outside.

NO More SNAKES
We've lived in the country on 5 acres for 50 years this summer - and are surrounded by woods on 3 sides - we have always had problems with snakes even though my husband keeps this place mowed down like a golf course - but we're in boonies - so still they come - and some are copperheads -We have a huge wrap around porch and it was nothing to walk out the door and see a 4-5 foot snake just laying out on the porch - - and that was soooooo common -My husband has a big workshop and he would get them in there and he's an organized neat freak so it was easy to see them - he's even found them crawling up the wall in there - or resting in a corner -Our daughter runs the local small town radio station - and it's in a remote area near a woods and creek and she had snakes running out her ears - - all summer - every summer -HER snakes got to be a community joke - because she'd talk about them on air - the sheriff would come out himself and rangle them up and haul them off - - and they were huge -SHE had so many she'd see them multiple times a day - right on the porch of that little station or laying across the steps -About 3 years ago I was about to step out the kitchen door and there was a really fat 5-6 foot long snake laying on the rug just outside that kitchen door - - and If we hadn't been in a habit of looking before we step around here - I would have stepped right on it -I came right to the computer and spent 2 hours researching and reviewing snake repellants and ordered this - - and I swear to my soulie - we have not seen a snake since -I put it down in the spring and mid/late summer - there is NO NEED to put this down monthly - it's way too expensive for that - - but we are so so glad to have found this -Our daughter lives in town and had never had a problem so we didn't put it down at their home - but this week she's seen 2 copperheads sunning on their patio when she'd come home from the radio station - soooooooo a brand new batch of Snake b Gon is due to arrive today - and I feel confident her snake worries - even in town - are over -NONE of us have seen a snake in 3 years - - - except for the 2 - at our daughters home 2 times this week - and she's never treated her yard or patio at home - and I know without a doubt they are as good as gone after today -LOVE LOVE this stuff and never ever want to be without it - and the scent is not bad at all - it's a bit of an herbal scent - and even that goes away after 2-3 days - This stuff is worth it's weight in GOLD if you have a snake issue of any kind -

Does not work
Saw snakes coming in and out of my fire pit and random snake skin in my yard. I used 1 of 2 bottles around my fire pit and in between the cracks of the brinks and the perimeter of my yard and there are still snakes hiding in my fire pit and random snake skin my skin in my yard.
