We Wish You A Crazy Christmas: Strange Christmas Cards Postcard Book Cards – October 1, 2011

I was hoping that mostly all of these would be on the completely absurd and creepy side - that's just my personal taste. However, while there were a handful that fit that particular criteria for me, the rest are mostly just odd. Odd in the sense of, How does a picture of a shoe, or a dog fetching a stick in the water, or an image of five puppies bursting out of paper... convey Christmas? So if you're looking for Christmas postcards that are not so humorously weird but just a bit a left of center, then I recommend these. Also, larger than most postcards, so I was pleased with the extra room for writing. Great quality card stock - comes in a book WITHOUT perforations, but tears out easily enough.ps - sorry for the angles - added them right side up, yet still the pics uploaded weird. Hope these help!

like another reviewer observed, this would be more aptly named a victorian xmas postcard collection rather than "strange" or "crazy" postcard collection. there are a couple weird and strange ones but most are rather cutsey and just antique looking which is fine if thats what youre looking for, but I really wanted STRANGE and was very disappointed. yea and why didnt they include the card on the cover? thats the best one imo, and they left it out of the book?!!! they should change the cover of this collection AND rename it or they are going to have many more disappointed customers.

I loved the drawings! Very tongue in cheek and perfect for a weary gifted to send to a special friend !

I do agree with the reviewer that complained that the cover card was not in the collection, which doesn't make any sense to me. They liked it so well they used it on the cover, but not for us to be able to use.

Not crazy more just average Christmas cards. If you want something cheaper that people might like better look at card books and laughing elephant

These postcards are hilarious! Very strange indeed - some a bit on the macabre side, like the one of the kid riding riding a dog, ready to spear a rabbit with a giant fork! yikes! - good size, good quality. :-)

Just received this postcard book in the mail today. Some of the postcards are indeed funny, while others are just vintage. I might have given this product 4 stars instead of 3, except that the cover image was not included in the postcards inside. This was the main reason I bought this product, so I was really disappointed that it was not included.

These postcards were such fun to send. Friends and family commented on how silly fun they were. People were also guessing what influenced the images on the cards which turned into a bit of a game. Thanks.

This collection of oversized Christmas greetings postcard is quite unique. The postcards are beautifully produced on thick card with high-quality printing, bringing out every detail of the fascinating illustrations. Looking at the (sadly undated) images you realise just how standardised our idea of an appropriate Christmas picture has become. This collection is far more wide-ranging than the usual robins, snowmen, Christmas trees, stashes of gifts, etc. Most tend to the bizarre and, while compelling, are oddly unsettling. A giant fish lands a puny man on a fishing rod; a hideously sentimental image of a chubby little girl with a sprig of mistletoe is labelled 'tos it's tismas...' Don't buy these if you want 'nice'. Almost all are creepy, some downright sinister. Be warned that the front-cover picture of a leering pine-cone and tree bauble pushing a slightly traumatised-looking doll on a swing isn't included as a postcard.

This is a nice selection of thirty oversized quirky Christmas postcards from LaughingElephant. There have been some complaints that the cover has not been reproduced inside but as I always retain the whole book intact to me this is not a problem. A well produced attractive collection.

Absoultly love this quirky postcard christmas book.I put it out every Christmas, makes for a great conversation piece.You can also use the postcards too if you like. The pictures are clear and postcards are firm not flimsy.Well worth the great price!

I love these! Many of the post cards are hilarious and, without fail, they are all a little odd. I'm looking forward to sending these out this coming Christmas to give everyone a bit of comic relief. I would definitely buy these again and recommend them for anyone so has a good sense of humour.
