Threw a Hard drive in it, hooked it up to my existing camera system in about 3 minutes. Created an account, scanned the QR codes when asked and could remote view within 30 minutes. Had no idea it took face shots also. Nice feature, to be sure.

Cloud coverage for 4 cameras is 70 bucks a month!! And you have to buy a $200 adapter. What a rip off no wonder equipment cheap. And all you people who made reviews not one of you thought to mention that?! Also camera I bout with pam and tilt with 1080 I also crap. No better than the old cameras I have.

The housing is pretty thin, but once the Hard drive is in place and all the screws are tight it's solid just like all Chinese products are designed. The set up menu is really easy to follow and the mouse operates much better than my old sestem, the screen tells you what to look for if there is a problem!

Considering I have dealt with this type of electronic device for about 10 years the setup of the DVR was super easy and the quality of the video feed is better than the original DVR!The downside is the app is incredibly inconsistent. First time around got it to work fine on my Android S10, my wife's ancient Motorola went through fine, got the access to the video feeds setup on both our iPAD's with some grief but nothing major.Strange thing is the app stopped working on my Samsung S10 (out of the blue) figured I would just re-install it, now I can access the video feeds on my wife's cell and the two iPADs but not my Samsung. When I go to install it (on my Samsung) the captcha will never allow access!

I ordered this to replace an older Sannce dvr that had started failing. This one has some better options including the ability to add IP cameras. I'm still using the older cameras (which aren't great) so I can't comment much on the nightvision as the old cameras aren't great with IR NV. The ability to setup schedules, motion zones and notifications is great. I've got most of my cameras set up for motion sensing and only recording during motion activitation.Overall,its a good unit for a cheap price and has some really good options.

This device will not work with Blue Iris. Have used several other dvr/nvr's with no prob l em. After weeks of trying, have not been able to get this device to work with Blue Iris.

I ordered this to replace an older DVR model and initially had concerns about my older cameras being compatible, but this DVR handles a wide range of signals. Hard drive installation was a cinch, and setup was surprisingly easy - for the most part.From the start I was having issues with a setting (an on-screen error) and wasn't sure what specific setting to change, so I emailed Tech Support. I included pics of the individual screens, the specific DVR and camera models I was using, etc. No reply.Several days later, I emailed again. Nothing.A couple of days after that I emailed, indicating that if they weren't inclined to help me I would just return the product.I finally received a reply explaining how to change the setting - it was vague and included screenshots, none of which looked like the setup screens on my DVR. I again emailed, confirmed the model of my DVR and the firmware version, and again included screenshots to show what the setup screen(s) looked like.That's been well over a week ago, and still nothing.It's a shame - the DVR itself seems to be very capable, but in the event of a question there is simply no support. What little documentation comes with the unit is extremely limited and vague.
