There is a small push button on the top of the fixture that allows you to choose the light setting for this Ornamotor. Three different settings so that you can set the lights on this device to include random flicker, pulse or remain and steady. Intended for temporary indoor use only. Manufacturer recommends that it be installed and used no longer than 90 days. Keep cord and device free of coverings, cloth, paper. Do not use with staples, nails, sharp hooks, tacks etc. Do not leave unattended. Unplug when leaving the house or when retiring for the night. Diameter and width of Ornament Light is 2-1/4 inches and 1-1/2 inches long. The pigtail is 6 inches long from plug in tip to the top of the holder. There are so many types of light strands these may not fit yours out of the box. The package includes instructions for swapping out the bases. After the base is changed to one that fits your strand, the rotator will work as it should. International customers: this item is intended for use in the US.
